This is Jace's little computer specialist. He has an HP computer that was sold running Xp, they upgraded to VIsta. he has 5gb of ram, dual core proc.

He has used deamon tools and alchohol 52%, he has also used Y.A.S.U. and A.C.I.D. for cloaking but has removed all of the above. The game stopped working at a random time not corresponding with the install of anything. After i removed the above programs i used CCleaner to clean and also check registry. Then i used Comodo registry cleaner to clean registry. I spammed ccleaner when trying to fix this problem. He has used a BFME2 rise Iso before but i dont see why this would do this. Im thinking i might manually go into the registry using regedit.exe so i can search for securom/ safedisk. If this doesn't work i might just have to reinstall windows, which wont be bad because he will finally get internet soon so this will make patching easier. I am formally accusing him of BORKING his Vista install. anyone got any ideas?

FYI: have uninstalled and reinstalled several times including deleting the temp files.

Have any more questions?

Yes I suggest:
  1. Making sure the CD actually works
  2. THEN do all of what you plan to do tongue.gif

Just seems like a waste of time to reinstall Windows if you don't actually know that the CD does work. tongue.gif

We tried both of his cds and my cd. Plus BFME2 doesn't work either. It's like a EA game ban on his computer. Plus i dont think the game would install if the cd's didn't work.

Plus maybe reinstalling Windows will help some. Not very hard. Plus we need to wipe the hard drive of our *crap* that we have left on them.
