The chances are i won't even get into the Beta, but at least this means we are progressing towards release. I'd say in 6 months we'll be playing retail.

C&C4's beta is public now I think, where as SC2's is closed/invite only. I'd rather play an hour of SC2 than unlimited play time of C&C4.

This is awesome, but considering the competitive nature of the game, my lack of experience with online RTSs and the fact I never got Starcraft I, I feel that I would just get annihilated if I played this Beta, even if I want to play it.

big player base and proper AM , so we won't get nubbashed by koreans

just play the campaign... it'll be an epic experience for any non-RTS player.
i thought the campaign for SC64 was amazing when i knew ZERO about RTS games.

Hopefully there will be a steady stream of movies from the beta for all of us who don't have a beta key. I'm really curious to see how SC2 plays and if it has enough depth to keep the community entertained for a decade or more.

I am so fucking hyped, thanks for putting this up on the main portal. Gonna be seeing me around here a little more in the next couple of months.

I imagine that the beta in Feb will be invite only, and I certainly don't think I will get in, but the sooner private beta is the sooner I will get to be play this game.
