Hey guys,

Many of the GR members are coming from the C&C Community or have been in touch with CnC games in the past. Therefore, I think this here is a good place to discuss this topic

In my opinion, right-click-scrolling is an excellent feature of C&C and I have never understood why other RTS games didn't use it as well. For the people who don't know what I'm talking about, I suggest to watch on of these ingame videos. Right click scrolling allows you to scroll in different speed levels around the map by holding the right mouse button. Of course, it can't replace the use of hotkeys or the minimap (that works only for players on a lower skill level) but it is a very good addition which helps to come to better/easier solutions in certain game situations. By the way: The normal scrolling by pushing the middle mouse button is not exactly the same!

What do you think?

Middle-mouse button grabs the map for panning action. I prefer this.

edit: I have always liked the SC/WC mouse configurations more then C&C.

Right button ftw, specially cause it's less used than in c&c.

If you ask me : mail blizzard and tell that we want right button ^^

It would be nice, but grid hotkeys are a more pressing issue imo.

Yea speedscrol is so much superior to arrow keys or hugging the side of the screen or the slow and awkward middle mouse option that sc2 gives you...

Middle mouse button is totally not the way to go.

I turned up middle-mouse scrolling sensitivity to 90%. Hit's the sweet spot for me... My particular mouse provides a very clean middle-mouse action, but some mice are definitely awkward to hold down middle-mouse.

Does no one give a shit because it's not CNC?

I don't care from who it is. Even if a company called pink pony made a great RTS, i still want them to include right click rapid scroll.

Btw it's blizzard, if everyone ask about right click, we will get it. In the other hand, only beta player can post in the official blizzard forum...Do it if you have the beta

right click scrolling is a great feature...

It's the middle button in SC2.

what does control groupign have to do with the right click scroll ?

You don't have to scroll at all because anything you really need to see is on a control group.

I just love how you try to shove your opinion up on everyone.

what about you try to understand that your (or blizzards) way isn't always the way. People have different opinions and styles. I and tons of others miss the rightclick rapid scroll and it has nothing to do with l2whateveryoufillinhere.

I totally agree, middle mouse scrolls sucks the big one.

WC3 had right click scroll did it not? I don't see why they can't add the feature here...JUST ADDING an option to this doesn't lose any other features.

i dun think wc3 had rapid scroll =/ not sure thou
