It was a good read. Whoever spellchecked should note the difference between their and there.
I do concur with a lot that you have said, but they belive some solo'ers to be too strong because they are.
They are going to nerf shaco next patch because he is not only amazing at roaming/jungling/solo pushing, but also because he can solo baron at lvl 14. I for one am all for it just because I hate shaco, but that is just personal hatred towards one champion.
As for the working like a team stuff its true. It makes it so much harder if say you have an Olaf that just runs in 5v1 or solo pushes while you are trying to team fight, because either you have to 4v5 and try to win, or you will try and run in there to save them then all die horribly anyways.
Even if most of you are communicating as a team, that one player is still so important which is a plus and a minus to this game. I kind of like that though. That it really is a team game and you need to play well together to win. Then again I hate it because if you have one idiot or feeder the whole game is pretty much ruined and you have to try SOOO much harder to get that win.
I think I have just started ranting, I just wanted to say that they are trying to keep this a game where you need to play like a team to win, but they still have plenty of champions who can solo or roam/jungle and will do fine.

The whole team thing will make competitive play a lot cooler to follow as well as play in. It's more fun to root for a team than an individual in sports, imo.
In the blog, you mention that LoL doesn't require much 'skill'. I agree with this, but it needs mindtricks and gaming. Be one step ahead of your opponent.
Teaming up is soo freaking important, although a good solo push can do wonders when timed (again the mindgame) correctly.
As Leobardis would say, You need to read The Art of War, learn psychology, and become a chess master to really understand how to play LoL.
The Art of War focuses more on strategies that are more inclined toward go than chess. Chess focuses more on direct attacks in order to kill enemy pieces, while go focuses on controlling territory and space with the least pieces in order to gain a subtle yet devastating advantage over your opponent.
Well written, praise thee. I'm more of a 'sheep' in this game as if a sufficient person who knows what they are doing tells me what to do I'm comfortable in doing it as I trust their judgement over mine. What I'm trying to say is I 'need' someone to tell me what to do (oh yeah dominate me) as I generally don't make the right choices for the team but do alright as an individual or in individual situations.

I read the Art of War (BMFE2 version) and I'd say that it's not that good for this game. Some things are good yes, but it's basic and the more 'advanced' parts are not ment for this game (like pushing your frontline, tactical turrethugging is sometimes better).
I think Chess is not a must have to play LoL because it's about tactical placing and waiting, not by pushing forward (or at least that's my playstyle).
