They're low on moderators in the SC2 section so SC2 admins have been asking for help. While I was browsing around their forums I noticed that they were missing some forums in their navigation tabs so took a screenshot and linked the admins to the problem. I'm still playing DoW 2 don't worry laugh.gif

Despite ten years of intensive efforts, little is known about the molecular mechanisms that underlie Noobs. Recent observations have implicated stupidity, a kinase, in this process, but to date no perturbation studies of this gene have been conducted. We tested the hypothesis that stupidity functions in Noobs by cloning the pros stupidity homolog. The homolog encodes a predicted protein of amino acids with % overall identity to the vertebrate stupidity. pros stupidity is highly expressed in all alpha and colocalizes with Rage, a protein known to be essential for Noobs. Mutations in stupidity substantially disrupt Noobs and cause pros to become Super noobs. These observations 1) confirm a role for stupidity in Noobs and 2) suggest that stupidity and Rage form part of a core complex mediating Noobs.

You get killed by class X, you play class Y. Class X is overpowered. Class Y is underpowered.

Author: Tsototar

The Ork's head disappeared into a mist of blood and gristle as his Thunderhammer blurred past on its way to bury itself into the shoulder of another, much larger Ork -

Brother-Captain Invictus had learned long ago that, though the smaller Orks needed killing as well, the larger ones were the far greater threat, and efficiency, if not necessity, demanded that he try to kill more than one Ork per blow; he had thus developed, over the many campaigns against the Ork threat across the sector, a rhythm where he would swing his hammer in wide arcs calculated to intersect with as many heads, arms or legs as possible on its way to its ultimate destination - the largest Ork within reach.

He was the Force Commander, and it was his Duty to challenge and destroy the largest of any Orks that were encountered - leading from the front had the benefit of drawing fire to himself and thus allowing his Battle-Brothers to lay down effective fire against the hordes of Orks on the field; while those were busy trying to kill *him*, his Battle-Brothers could kill *them*.

The head of his Thunderhammer had buried itself almost completely into the body of the larger Ork, something the others called a "Nob". But it was too large to die from that blow - it towered over even Captain Invictus himself - and as it howled with agony and fury, its right arm flopping uselessly while it pawed at the hammer with his left. Captain Invictus jerked back on his hammer suddenly, which, with the head buried deep into the Ork's torso, pulled it onto its knees before him. He immediately stomped his foot onto the face of the Nob, braced, and - two-handed - ripped his hammer free of its body; the force of this tore off the Nob's right arm completely, and it fell to the ground - still tightly gripping its axe, he noted. The Nob howled again and lifted itself on its remaining arm, its eyes fixed on him, filled with hate and bloodlust.

He took a step back, reversed his hammer, turned his back to the Ork - and swung his hammer around in the opposite direction, sweeping a full circle and knocking two smaller Orks, that had tried to creep up to his back while he was killing their leader, completely off their feet, in an arc that terminated in a loud, liquid stop onto the Nob's head. The Nob's howl was suddenly cut off and - with some delay because even without a head it did not die instantly - the body finally collapsed.

He stepped back and spat - not out of contempt, though he certainly had nothing but contempt for the foe - but because he had lost his helmet to an Ork barrage half a battlefield ago, and the use of a Thunderhammer generally resulted in a lot of airborne Ork particles that, whenever one had to take a heavy breath, could not be avoided.

That Ork barrage was probably unaimed, but the sheer volume of fire had been such that aiming was not necessary - his power armour would need much attention from the tech-priests after this battle - and it had shattered his helmet into two and knocked him onto the ground and his hammer out of his hands; he'd used the halves of the helmet to decapitate the Orks that had leapt onto him before he could get back onto his feet. The two smaller Orks were beginning to get to their feet but he ignored them for now - he cast his eyes to the communications array, its antennas unfolding like petals... very slow petals.

A warrior is more than a mere killer; a leader must never lose sight of the objective.

As learned upon world after world, it was rarely possible to outlast the sheer numbers of Orks once they had fully made planetfall; in a battle of attrition with Orks, the Orks tended to win. As of now, only a small fraction of the Ork forces, their advance party, had actually landed - but a full Imperial Navy fleet was not available to interdict the main Ork fleet approaching this planet. But if they were successful, it would not be needed - the Ordo Xenos had managed to capture a so-called "Mek" of this Waagh, and through their Inquisitorial methods, extracted the precious information that the craft the Orks were relying on to travel from world to world on their interplanetary Waagh had been looted from the shipyards of Dinaris IV and had not had major modifications to their central power systems... nor their secret kill-codes the Governor of the planet had had installed on every vessel from that world. If they could hold and protect the antenna arrays for them to be fully deployed, they could remotely disable or even blow up every Ork craft approaching orbit... they had to take and hold the communications arrays for long enough, to buy enough time, or the world was lost.

The first of the two smaller Orks was back on its feet and charged him, howling. It slashed at him, the oversized combat knife shedding sparks as it scraped along his breastplate ineffectually.

"I suppose it is a battle of attrition after all," he said out loud - causing the Ork to stop howling and look at him.

"Wot?" it said, puzzled, expecting a taunt.

He crushed its face with a vertical hammer blow. He had to spit again.
