as the new patch is out I thought we could have some different tourney instead of the normal 64 - 128 bracket

so heres an idea to a clan tourney setup

King of the hill

1v1

4 players from each clan ( have to be the same 4 in every round possible 1 sub )

BO7 overall meaning first clan to win 4 games win overall

BO1 for each round ( first round factions and map will be random/decided by a ref after that loser picks winners next faction allied or axis and the winner gets the last vote on the veto ) every faction would be allowed and tov units as well.

hope this is clear enough.



now this post is just an idea, we just need to see if there would be any sign ups for this before we start organising it.

anyway is this wanted or should we/I just keep the normal tourney setup for now and not make any team tourneys other than the 2v2's

Definatly brings something new to the table, and a different aspect of competition which I don't think has been done before.

Reborn should be up for this anyways. Would be good to see other clans take a look and see.

and I know WmD is ready for it

i will see if reloaded are up for this. i feel they will be. btw. this should include all factions and not just vanilla!

Allstars will be in too, both for 1v1 or 2v2 clantourney

gj guys. im posting this in all of the coh clans. Btw, just a suggestion but setting up a tourney organising team may be a good idea . would make it easier if we divided this up into sections. Im just busy posting around forums that i know of. i will post even in the ones that have already said they r in just to make sure all members know

plan would be to have a bracket with all the teams in also just seeing if theres intrest for this if there is staff on gr would probably like to help me with this (:

would love to help out with this hopefully soon a member of staff myself anyway so would be good but as for other staff, i think we need a couple of commentators, harlequincast good one, same with krebs!. maybbe a few gfx artists. i can ask a few and im one myself 2..

btw i am not posting in clans that are not active. so if hasnt been active within last 12 days or so then i will not put it in there forums, they have to come to us.

tbh u r right, commentators will be something we get last .

also those who are reading this please announce in coh gamereplays chat on coh in game. we want as many people knowing as possible as there are some inactive forums on here such as sturmgewehr which contain people like darwin who i am sure would like to compete in this.

i have asked most of the clans now, well the active ones at least.

All depends on the timing, but the patch has some folks excited, so perhaps we will have a team ready for this. I'll regroup with the troops on my end.

Would this event have to happen all on one day? I really like the format, but it'd probably be more convenient if one entire match was played over the course of a week, and players have a better chance of being able to set up a match.

One thing though, wouldn't you need seven players minimum in a bo7 overall? Unless I'm misunderstanding the format.

I will pass this along to some of the higher rank members in our clan.

thank you warhawks, @schmieds i dont think it is planned to take place over just one day, but im not sure about needing a 7 players for the B07.

on a further note, i have only been through coh clans so there is not all by any means every clan that knows.. keep bringing people in!!
