Whats your take on going 3 refs on E vs E as opposed to regular 2 ref BO, and send only 1 dojo straight to your enemies base to keep him busy or harrass to buy som extra time for your mecha to come out. If successful, it should be 2 refs plus 2 oils vs 3 refs. ofc im talking about larger 1 vs 1 maps like BBB or FI.

Sorry for intruding, but lemme say my opinion. First of all, i think that 3-ref BOs in EvE which you don't prevent your opponent from grabbing the 2nd oil are useless and dumb. Because its a commonly known fact, that 2 oil+2 ref > 3 ref, as they give a slightly better income, you get your mecha earlier, therefore, you can build more tengus to harass your opponent, and unless you screw your advantage by any surprisingly fail micro or some bad decisions, you should win in the end.

BBB is a bit easier for 3-ref, but still not worth it imo. For example, your opponent can kill your oil easily when you go 3-ref by just unpacking his own dojo on the cliff near your oil, training a warrior+tankbuster and selling the dojo. And if your opponent is tricky, he can scout your 3rd ref with a burst-drone and just unpack his own dojo on your ref spot. It is possible because the map is fairly small. And unpacking the 3rd ref on water is just throwing your money away, as it is going to be harassed with the very first tengus and is hard to defend, even with a turret. I haven't ever played 3-ref in 1v1 EvE, but pretty much any 3-ref empire i faced was an easy win for myself. It is only my opinion though.
bbb is pretty good for 3 ref start in EvE if u do 3ref start there u should deploy your 3rd ref on the land expansion,cuz it is easily to defend with tankbusters in the buildings
