This is a new one to me. My only suggestion is to try reinstalling the game. Perhaps there's been some data corruption or something. It's unlikely, but that's the only suggestion I have. More likely it's a graphics card issue, in which case there's not much you can do.
It doesn't sound like an incompatibility with Windows 7.
I think it should be totally fine. I just completely owned ra twice with no problems (although he complained about severe lag on his own host). Soon enough he'll get back to losing again!

More likely it's a graphics card issue, in which case there's not much you can do.
