Cave or Tunnel

So whenever you are approaching a Goblin base, what do you target first? Their cave or their Tunnel? Which one and why?

I always target the cave, its less sturdy than ttunnel, one batalion of anything can take out a cave easily

Between a cave and a level 2 or 3 tunnel, it's definitely better to go for the tunnel as this will significantly worsen his economy and give him 50 less cp. In fact, in this case, this is a better way to stop his spam than hitting the cave. People often don't realize how good level 2 and 3 tunnels are.

Early game it might be worth hitting caves since you start with 200 cp(at least in 2v2 if i remember right) and it will stop spam effectively. Again, however, hitting tunnel - even if it's a level 1 tunnel - will reduce his chances of putting up a spam. So depending on the situation it could be better to go for his tunnel - let's say he has only 1 tunnel left and 4 caves left. Going for his caves here could invite him back to the game. Having mainly 2v2 in mind now, same applies to 1v1 too even if it's harder to come back with only 1 tunnel here.

In early game go for the caves always. They are so fragile that two of any swordsman uunits can take down three of them easily under fortress fire and some enemy unit aggro.
