well I've been playing a couple games and have researched a bit, and people say the orks are the weakest. I am Ork and i love them, but it seems to be the commander ones seem more powerful. any clue in what is the best faction?
Chaos is best, everything else is more or less the same.
Right now, it's more or less based on commander matchups. For example: IG > Apoth (maybe), but atm FC > IG
Or
RA < Eldar, but LA is > Eldar
different commander matchups is what makes the difference, not the race. Save chaos, which has not only the best race atm, but also the best commander in the game (CL)
The problem with orks is that the have a few units that are just a tad too good, and a units that are just a tad underpowered.
Shootas are a tad too good Trukk is waaaaaaaaaaaaay too good Weirdboy is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too good Kommando drop is still OP in some MUs, although I know people will say I'm wrong on that, I'll still say that ability is absurd. Stikks aren't that great in 1v1
Ah yeah, my ork use to get raped with that IG, I started thinking my race sucked. right now i am about 5 wins and 2 looses with the orks, so they are fairly good. Not sure if i should stick with these guys or move on to Chaos race, What do you think?

With the game being in the state it is, play whatever you think is the most fun. Of course I'll say that playing chaos is easier and may(not) increase your W/L. Just play with what race you have a feel for the best/most.

FC isnt the best right now, unless you look at him by himself. A tier 2 and 3 FC is arguably the best commander in the game atm. However, CL is the best commander, when you take his race into account.
Dont just play the race that will make u win most play whichever u want and find fun. You wont get better by always playing with the advantage or by being totally carried by your hero/race.

You are`t wrong on that. The ability should be moved to t3.
And Chaos is best - they have so many good combination of units - ranged builds with heavy infantry or even a walker support from Dreadnought, melee builds with Noise Marines - these are good with CL because of speed bonus from worship, they can rush t3 for cheap GUO (only 700/180 and beats every other super unit, even Terminators without LC, with worship it beats everything) - not to mention their nuke is probably second best(after IG one) in game, though its not that great against vehicles.
And in case everything else fails - just spam Plague Marines.
chaos is the best, but if you main orks and want to switch I'd say use eldar for a while, I moved from Knob to WSE and when I came back to orks I was able to play to it's strengths more.
I think ratix is pretty bang on right now. Hero matchups are the big difference currently. The racial rosters are panning out fairly even, except chaos comes out on top because their entire t2 portion is AV.
However, when we add heros into the mix, chaos usually gets wtf pwned by FC and TM.
Anyway, as far as unwinnable matchups go, I think apo vs cl is pretty hopeless for the apo. PC vs FC also seems incredibly favored for the FC. The only other somewhat hopeless matchups can think of are internal, those being apo vs fc, and knob vs wb. And even then, there is always a glimmer of hope.
