Do you recommend focusing on upgrading my con yard so I can get my harvesters back, or continue upgrading the com center so I can get a bigger and better army? My units average level is a little above 14 so I have a LOT of room for upgrading them, but I can usually take down level 18 camps easy and that's the highest I see. Do you need to upgrade your com center to get higher level camps or is that based on the level of your army?

I'm also playing on server 4 and that's a really nice base you have there; when it comes to army level, you are actually ahead of me. biggrin.gif

I'm not sure what's the factor that defines the level of camps, but my guess is that this has something to do with the level of your command center and possibly the number, and level of the camps you've destroyed. I have level 15 Command center and the camps spawning next to my base are level 17 and below.

Yeah I just got a level 19 after upgrading my command center to 17 this morning. I don't remember seeing any 18s until I got to level 16 either. It seems the max is 2 levels more than your command center.

It is based on the level of your con yard which is yet another reinforcement not to do what I did in server 1. If you run your con yard way out ahead of thee rest of your base and your units you will be stuck battling camps that you are ill equipped to battle. You sound like you've managed to keep your army at a higher level than most of your base which is a good trick.

If power is your issue spend the green to upgrade the level of your power plants. You don't need more power plants you need higher level power plants.

nah meth, on closed beta 2 it seems that the com center is the important structure. After building it (in my third base) and upgraded it to level 9, there poped up some level 9 camps around it.

That would make some sense. Your com ctr dictates the level of your army and it makes sense to have ai targets pop up that are relative to your army.

How can I improve my tiberium production on this base without sacrifising too much power production. It's been left about 7 hours and has only produced 60k tiberium sad.gif

Changing the power plant above your WF to a silo would help a bit. When it comes to power production, your defense HQ is in extremely bad position, that spot has 4 bordering crystal fields. (optimum spot for power plant)

Edit: This is how I'd arrange the structures, not sure that would this be the optimum way though. tongue.gif

With the update on 04.04.12 this is no longer true.

Pretty much means, you can level your CC as far as you want, the only thing that matters is the level of your offensive units.

never had any harvesters alliance income is 400k+ of each.. no need for them lol
