We have a base thread and a defense thread, we need an army thread. w00t.gif
I think we all use our main armies for PvE raiding so they should probably all look fairly similar. Unless your armor crazy like vivo tongue.gif
Like Meth's base thread, if you want to brag, here's the place. wink.gif
Here's mine, I just got snipers today so I've been shaking some things up, I sold a guardian, riflemen squad and a zonetrooper squad to get my snipers. I think I'll eventually get the zonetroopers back and maybe replace my missile squad with a commando. And further down the line replace my predators with mammoths. drol.gif Just 40M more credits to go...

Damn, I thought a lvl 20 jug was expensive ohmy.gif
I'm surprised you have three guardians, I would've thought you'd pick more orcas or snipers to balance out repair times. Is the rocket fist your most hated unit? tongue.gif

I can't rely on them too much since I use air or infantry as a decoy. My airfield and barracks are much lower level than my WF anyways. Currently it takes about two hours to repair level 31 orca or sniper team, with that I can repair all of my guardians and after that there's still some spare time left.

World 9 - Hammer of the Emperor!

I try to follow standard doctrine and sacrifice the guardsmen to protect our holy Armor!

Also I just learned the tragic truth that the CC only gives +5 AP after 20.. I didn't even check before I upgraded it. =(

If this would be a real war, you wouldn't be a popular commander amongst the troops. biggrin.gif

Finally got enough research points for mamoths biggrin.gif

This evenings attacks seem to have worked reasonable well spliting my forces into a defense facility force and a conn yard force.

Have to say how fecking expensive is the mamoth to upgrade. 12m tp upgrade from level 22 blink.gif

I have two mammies in my main attack force that are level 25's going to 26's. Cost? Over 28 million. I'll bet Vivo's and subroutine's both are already past mine I can only imagine what comes next

I have a level 32 mammoth and another one which is couple of levels below that. Upgrading a mammoth to level 33 would cost 196m crystal and 49m power. biggrin.gif

Is this any good as a PvP army? (I won't have Orcas researched when I need a PvP army)

I need a PvP army soon. My second base, army and defense are on about Lvl 12. I was thinking about building a PvP army in my second base consisting of only infantry. I still have almost 3M blue which couldn't be spent because of bad energy economy. If I used all green I gain in the next few days to upgrade the Power Plants and Accumulators and then spent all I could afford on making my infantry battalion... - could that plan work out in 3-4 days? I know your far away from these levels, but from your instincts what do you say?

This is my company of heroes at the moment.

(Notice lvl. 16.7)
Look what they did today ohmy.gif

I had to stop my brave men even though I obviously had enough CP to go on, my energy economy is just so weak compared to the income you get from those camps -.-

I have no idea what to add to this to improve my army. I've been using 20 Army Points to buy and sell decoys as needed but since the latest upgrade I now have 30 spare Army Points.

I've been thinking about adding another Orca perhaps, but I don't really know... maybe a second Pitbull in order to have some ground units against canon buildings.

You need infantry, we have a pretty healthy inf bonus after all. I would sell a firehawk and get some missile squads to be your main CY killers. It would also be wise to add some riflemen and zone troopers.

Rocket men vs. researching and purchasing Commandos?

I like to have both, rocket men (cheap, disposable) for taking out busters, flak, walls, and barriers when pitbulls/juggs wont do, and commandos for taking out the conyard.

Are Commandos basically more powerful Rocket men or is there a downside to them?
