you cannot beat a wm player who is good.Wm vs brit is just unbalanced and i must say convuko is decent so.Either wait for a huge mistake or just kept losing
It's difficult so you actually need to think about details like cover, when he got his halftrack and 2 grenadiers you engaged with 3 tommies and 1 lieutenant, but he was in green cover and you wasn't so you lost more men than he did. That sort of move will drain your manpower and delay piats.
Upgrade tommies with grenade launcher, use smoke grenade to lower supression and damage from halftrack mg, actually it's always good to have 3 different types of tommies.
Build casualty clearing station before getting into serious combat.
Get a second piat squad and build random sandbags around to offer cover for your infantry while moving.
As soon as your lieutenant hit's vet 1 get a second lieut.
Build a mortar in range with the med bunker to keep draining manpower, the wher strat is getting fed by his own casualties and end up with a huge blob of grenadiers, therefore, the best doctrine choice is not other than royal artillery.
As soon as you have resources build a 25 pounder behind the bushes surrounding your base, mine possible ways in to avoid halftrack rush. Your biggest mistake was rushing from cromwell, your biggest priority is getting rid of the bunkers.
Take real care of your lieutenants and captain.
If he goes def doctrine, fall back to your own territory as soon as he uses for the fatherland skill.
I would suggest you play some wehr to get some understanding on how this strat gets used to full effect. There are moments in which this strategy where the potential energy is low. I won't tell you where, but I will leave you with this piece of wisdom:
“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”
So I would recommend that you be flexible and try experimenting with every faction. That is, if you are a person looking to improve and not just someone who plays this game for fun. You don't improve with a faction's reactive measures by just consistently playing the same faction every time. If you encounter an opponent who is destructively creative (like kentoshogun suggested, mass mortars from wehr can effectively neutralize brits when you are not careful).
Though I'm not a fan of playing brits, they are part of the game so I play them to understand the strengths and weaknesses of the faction. That way, I can get a better understanding of my opponents tactics and game plan.
