The trailer begins with a Russian soldier being interrogated during a snowy train ride. Tales of battles along the Eastern Front, including the famous Battle of Stalingrad, are told in detail as the profile of a psychologically tormented individual unfolds. At the trailer's conclusion, the soldier's patriotism and devotion are questioned as he heads towards an unknown destination before an interruption.

This cinematic trailer appears following the announcement of a limited stress test on Tuesday, May 21, 2013. As of Wednesday night, Relic confirmed on the Company of Heroes Twitter only 300 spots were left open. This short stress test is meant to push the server capabilities to the maximum ahead of the open beta's impending launch. In order to participate, players must have played in the Closed Beta. Further specifics regarding the open beta haven't been revealed at this time.
