Elite Mod Patch Preview 2.11

Caeltos, Lead Designer for the Elite Mod, has just posted the patch preview notes. Looks like some nice new models for the game, Space Marine players might actually buy the Flamer besides just for gen bashing, some nice price reductions for Chaos, a price reduction on Providence which should lead to some interesting Warlock T3 play, Ork K-nob being more sneaky, Guardsmen also getting a better Flamer as well as some bunker changes, Tyranids being more endless, and the Grey Knight Librarian getting buffed with a melee charge making it harder for units to kite him.

General Changes
  • Grey Knight Stormtrooper models have been updated
  • Doom of Malan'tai added
  • Grey Knight Strike Squad Energy Burst now has an appropriate cooldown with the Nemesis Force upgrade. (45 seconds)
  • Grey Knight Strike Squad Nemesis Force weapon upgrade now grants the actual health increase, this was never applied before
  • Fixed an issue that caused D-Cannons to get stuck after using Singularity
  • Fixed an issue that caused the Chaos Sorcerer to remain immobilized after using Warpfire
  • Attempt to fix Bio-Plasma hitting terrain
  • Renamed the Grey Knight Librarian to Terminator Librarian
  • Chaos Raptors (Chainsword) now have a new weapon model
  • Chaos Terminators (Storm Bolters) now have a new weapon model
  • Chaos Havocs (Heavy Weapons) now have a new weapon model
  • Grey Knight Purifier Justicar model updated (Thule enters the fray)
  • Brother-Captain "Ward" ability key binding changed from B to something else
  • Replaced the Commissar Power Fist to a Power Klaw by popular demand (Visual change)
  • Looked into Raptor upkeep values <-- This is a bit of a uncertain
Space Marines
  • Apothecary Power Axe damage increased from 85 to 95
  • Tactical Marine Flamer range increased from 20 to 24
  • Tactical Marine Flamer cost reduced from 75/20 65/15
  • Tactical Marine Flamer accuracy while on the move from 50% to 100%
  • Tactical Marine Plasma Gun cost reduced from 65/35 to 60/30
  • Tactical Marine Flamer courage damage from 0 to 5
  • Sternguard now become immobilized when upgrading
  • Vanguard now become immobilized when upgrading
  • Techmarine Refractor Shield moved from Tier 1 to Tier 2.
  • Whirlwind now has a new ability called Hunter-Killer Missile. Fires a single missile that inflicts 175 damage to the target. This ability has an incredibly long range, but long cooldown. 120 seconds cooldown. Can only target vehicles.
  • Whirlwinds are capped at 2x
  • Armor of the Apothecarian cost reduced from 200/40 to 150/50
  • Armor of the Apothecarian self-ressurect removed
  • Armor of the Apothecarian now grants a +1.0 movement speed while out of combat
Chaos Space Marines
  • Blood Maul Special attack damage increased from 50 to 60
  • Let the Galaxy Burn damage decreased from 45 to 35
  • Fetid Armor cost reduced from 125/25 to 100/20
  • Armor of the Inferno cost reduced from 175/35 to 150/30
  • Reduced the cost of Chains of Torment from 150/30 to 140/30
  • Reduced the cost of Daemon Armor from 150/30 to 140/30
  • Reduced the cost of Mark of Khorne Havocs from 70/20 to 65/15
  • Raptor Melta Gun now grants Melta Bombs as well (Identical to ASMs)
  • Warp Rift cooldown decreased from 100 to 75 seconds
  • Plague Marines slow on vehicles duration reduced from 10 to 8 seconds
Eldar
  • Anti-Grav Grenade cost reduced from 120/40 to 100/25
  • Shimmer Orb no longer removes OUTGOING ranged attacks
  • Phase Armor no longer makes the Warp Spider Exarch take ADDITIONAL damage.
  • Levitate now causes the Farseer to take -25% less damage whilst in effect
  • Channeling now also allows the squad to detect invisible units
  • Channeling cast range increased (from 25?) to 30
  • Ethereal Slash no longer knockback retreating units
  • Warlock Commander leap strength reduced (Domino-Effect removed)
  • Providence duration reduced from 25 to 15 seconds
  • Providence cost reduced from 200/100 to 150/50
  • Pathfinder cost reduced from 55/15 to 50/10
  • Warp Spider Exarch Entangling web cost reduced from 130/35 to 120/30
  • Dark Reaper damage decreased slightly
  • Farseer Rune Armor cost reduced from 150/30 to 130/25
  • Fire Dragon Exarch now increases the squad movement speed by 1
Ork
  • Trophy Rack radius increased from 20 to 25
  • Reduced Waagh cost from 20 to 18 red
  • Waaagh! radius increased from 25 to 30
  • Flash Gitz Blasta damage decreased slightly
  • Improved Camouflage will now grant an ability
  • Grapplin Hook - Launches your trust Hook Shot and launches the Knob toward the location, anything in it's path will be knocked down.
  • Grapplin Hook does not affect retreating units
  • Kommando Nob Assashuns Knife damage reverted to previous state
  • Kommando Nob Assashuns Knife melee skill bonus from +10 to +11
  • Removed the red cost of the latest Battlewagon ability - More details to follow
Imperial Guard
  • Lord General Sniper rifle cost changed from 75/35 to 90/30
  • Interrogator's Armor cost reduced from 125/30 to 110/25
  • Crippling Volley radius decreased from 10 to 8
  • Reduced the cost of Autocannon HWT from 70/20 to 65/15
  • Guardsmen Flamer range increased from 20 to 24
  • Guardsmen Flamer cost reduced from 80/20 to 65/15
  • Guardsmen Flamer courage damage increased from 0 to 2
  • Purgatus wargear health increased from 100 to 200
  • Med Bunker cost reduced from 125/35(30) to 100/25
  • Repair Bunker cost reduced from 125/35(30) to 100/25
  • Repair Bunker repair rate decreased slightly
  • Removed the Heavy Weapon Specialist sergeant and is now instead an all-around upgrade.
  • Reduced the Kaskrin ranged damage output slightly
  • Kaskrin health regeneration increased slightly
  • Kaskrin courage increased from 100 to 150
Tyranids
  • Endless Swarm cost reduced from 85/15 to 60/10
  • Ravener Alpha Acid Splatter dps increased from 33.33 to 40.00
  • Bio-Plasma Hive Tyrant cost reduced from 110/25 to 100/25
  • Infestation no longer knockbacks units and can't be targeted on enemy units
  • Carnifex Venom Cannon can no longer fire on the move
  • Carnifex Venom Cannon damage increased slightly
  • Removed Lictor Vanguard upgrade, and is now applied passively
Grey Knights
  • Reduced Stormtrooper dps slightly
  • Stormtrooper Barrage projectile speed increased
  • Nemesis Halberd cost increased from 150/35 to 150/50
  • Purgation Squad rotation rate decreased from 200 to 100
  • Reduced Purgation Squad splash radius from 5 to 3 with Psycanons
  • Strike Squad Incinerators damage increased
  • Energy Burst no longer deals any damage. Instead it now slows the target movement speed by 50% as well as it's previous effect of burning energy. Duration on slow 4 seconds.
  • Grey Knight Librarian now has a melee charge
  • Grey Knight Terminator Librarian starts off with "Purge" ability now. Purges makes the target enemy unit/inc. vehicles of their armor, increasing the damage taken by 30% from all sources for the next 10 seconds. Cooldown 70s. (Cost 50 energy)
  • Grey Knight Librarian Shrouding upgrade now increases maximum energy from 100 to 150
  • Grey Knight Librarian Hammer of Titan upgrade increases health regeneration by 0.25
  • Canticle of Absolution energy regeneration to nearby squads reduced from 0.5 to 0.25 & affects allies now as well.
  • Grey Knight Dreadnought melee damage decreased slightly
  • Grey Knight Purifiers courage increased from 100 to 200
  • Increased Grey Knight Purifier Justicar health from 500 to 550
  • Purifier ability cast range increased from X to Y
  • Interceptor Squad Incinerator damage increased
  • Interceptor Squad Incinerator damage cost reduced from 60/15 to 50/15
  • Interceptor can now purchase Nemesis Force upgrade (Same application as Strike Squad)
  • Increases the squad melee damage by 15% and grants 10% health as well as burns 2 energy per hit.
  • Added +10 second delay on the Land Raider Crusader drop-in
  • Removed the Frag Assault ability from Land Raider Crusader
  • Grey Knight Terminator & Paladins now have the option for Incinerators & Psycanons
  • Psycanons identical to singular Strike Squad entity one, cannot be fired on the move
  • Psycanon cost 100/30 and Incinerator 80/20
  • Incinerator deals twice the amount of damage as a single "Normal" Incinerator
This patch will have a testing-phase due to some changes that were made. Some changes are subject to change, and this is a WORK IN PROGRESS patch which is going to require some to finish. So don’t expect it tomorrow or the day after, it’ll probably be at LEAST a week or two before it goes private, then we’ll have a week or so for testing before it goes public. Alas, it depends on how fast our Lulgrim works! (Give the guy some cred!)

Feel like we’ve missed something? Post it on the TO-DO list thread @DoW2elite website. Be as elaborative as you can when you post, the more constructive criticsm and feedback, the better- I won’t bother reading the simplistic “LOLOL BUFF DAT AND XXX YY XX AND YY” stuff, they serve ultimately no purpose or have any legitimate proposition to bring to the table. Besides, I like a good read!
