After a few weeks of pause, we are proud to announce
GameReplays Tournament Season 2 with a prize pool of
$2,000, sponsored by
S2 Games. During our first season we listened to what the players had to say, so we made some drastic changes for this season. All the changes made were done to give the players a more enjoyable experience while playing in our tourneys.
Tournament Season 2 Details
The biggest change is that we will have two divisions, EU and US, which means we will organize two tourneys every Sunday at separate times for EU and for US teams. Everyone is allowed to play in our tourneys, you don't have to be from EU, nor US, you just need to choose the division in which you would like to participate, since playing in both divisions will not be allowed. The advantage of this split is that there won't be any server problems, since the EU division will only play on EU servers, and the US division on US servers. Since a lot of players complained that our tournaments lasted too long, we put a cap of 16 teams on our tournaments which should make them last significantly shorter. We also made some changes to our rules, which you can read in every tournament announcement, that should also make the tourneys run much smoother. There will be 5 qualifying tournaments in which teams will gather points on our
EU and
US ladders. The eight highest ranked teams from each ladder will participate in the invitational tournament. The invitational will be a single elimination tournament with best of 3 rounds and teams will play against teams from their division. The winners of the divisions will play in the grand final in a best of 5 match-up which will be the first and only time two teams from different divisions meet.

Grand Final Winner: $1,000
Grand Final Loser: $500
Division Finalists: $250
