I tried to post this yesterday, but internet died some reason...

"Wow at some of the ignorance and closed-mindedness in this thread

Picking Scout in a competitive game proves nothing? Uh, by the exact definition of "viable", this "proves" that Scout is "viable" in competitive play.

And very nice play HighwayStar xD

I always knew that Scout doesn't "suck".

However now those that were biased and that placed stereotypes on anyone that played Scout (which generally are newbies) and only agreed with other people's beliefs believe now that Scout should ALWAYS skip his ultimate. Like wtf guys?

Although after I did the math (posted on HoN Beta forums), the extra second of being alive that 3 levels of stats gives you and the 1.5 seconds saved from having to channel his ultimate, a total of 2.5 seconds, can do about a maximum of 1650 dmg if Cleaving to four other enemy heroes, on an average (including crits and Vanish), and I think a minimum of 650 or so... too lazy to look up my numbers xD.

So as weird as it may be, as Scout's ultimate is fairly powerful, it may need to be buffed even more!"

And also guys, remember you can't just point at one player and say " He won the game for his team! "

Everyone contributes... It is most likely agreeable that Scout wasn't the meat of the reason, but he definitely did do his part, especially having Pest ragequit (even if his team was already winning). And of course, the wards and map control he gave was a huge advantage (even if not utilized to its full potential). But yeah pretty much, the other four members of his team were good enough to take on the enemy five. Pretty impressive ^^.

I agree that there are a lot of closed minded ppl there about scout. But I disagree with your skip ult assessment. Although I can see why a scout would want to skip ulti until level 10, it doesnt make sense for him not to have it 10-11 when scout should be buff enough to enter the ganking phase, and rip people apart. He can gain back the 3 stat loss by putting it in 12,13,14, and even on 15 as well leaving eye at level 1, and having your support get obs wards.

Great game, terrible ending. Was really looking forward to seeing the uber-farmed scout do some dammage.

lol, why you all talk like you have never played a pub game with scout? good job 4DR, was a well played game. but this is how i see all scouts being played in pub games. farm farm farm .. solo . i would rather prefer to hear how the other 4 did well while scout farmed in the jungles and lane where the opponents were missing alot (defending other lanes).

I agree with Izzo, in that people are greatly overrating Scout's performance in this game. Sure, Scout got crazily farmed and all of that, but did he actually do anything with any of his farm? He came out for one team fight and got one courier kill, and really, whether it was luck or not, did not affect the game that greatly: fiVe already had significant disadvantages at that point.

My point is, how is what Scout did in this game any different from any other hard carry? He was left alone to farm for half an hour, relatively undisturbed, of COURSE he was going to have crazy items. Sure, he had wards and all of that, but honestly, it didn't affect the game as much as you guys may say it did.

You let Chronos farm as long and relatively peacefully and he would have similar items, if not better, and be far more effective in the early game. Perhaps Scout is viable in a competitive game, but I'm certainly not convinced with this replay.

if u put any other hero on scouts place he'd be ganged 34 just becouse it is easier to gang em. Also scout farms FASTER then cronos etc just becouse he dont need items to farm jungle- he can do it just with hatchet couse of frenzy. If cronos will be in a situation when it's doublestun against him he'd just stay and get exp without farm. scout can easily use that time to kill neutrals. also heroes like cronos need to use their ults. or it's just stupid not to use such disables= less time for farming.

also not so many carry are good at killing multispawns. probably if behe didn't denied range creep that i dominated i'd make my farm even faster.

even more- scout is good in pushing towers. he can make his enemies use tp's on def. that's good too.

actually [5] are not stupid and they conceded couse they tryed to play same game as we played- puppet farms other fight/gang and they failed. puppet had to farm puzzlebox instead of dps items.

also the way scout takes kongor is imba.. pt domi runed axe and u can take it and u dont need any extra help from teammates couse u can counterward yourself and noone from enemies will understood it just becouse scout rarely appears on the map.

i think realistically chronos has to get some of his XP and money from ganks to compete with scouts farm. until you get elders parasite and thunder claw, scout will out farm a chronos.
