Greetings commanders! On Sunday, October 25th at 12:00-GMT, we proudly hosted the Kane's Wrath 1vs1 8-pack Tournament! Below is a recap of how the day went.
We had 15 players show up to play on all the classic Kane's Wrath ranked maps.
We start off the RO16 with nearly a full set of players in the brackets. We sadly had to pit a few higher tier players together early on since they arrived late. We started off with Phoenix` gaining a free-win. Next we had Encore* taking a 2-0 victory from Cabal. Death_Sentence stole a 2-0 victory from Patterns. Granolawas seen taking a 2-0 victory off of a true Faker during this round. Next we see Wookibert taking a very close 2-1 victory from Wegottherockets. Once again we have another close set of matches, this time between L1onCub and RandomnessFT. By the end of this battle L1onCub took a 2-1 victory. Rocks once again joins us for another tournament, this time he is up against TiberianFuture. TiberianFuture took a 2-0 win in this series. Our last set of games in this series was a close match-up between s2nz0 and OneVis1on. OneVis1on took a 2-1 victory in this match-up.
We are now in the Quarter Finals, where the remaining 8 players are put on everyone's favorite map, Tournament Rift. The first games in this round saw Phoenix' defeat Encore* 2-0. Next we saw Death_Sentence take an impressive 2-0 victory from Granola. L1onCub was the next player to fall in this bracket being defeated by Wookibert 2-0. Finally we had an unexpected turn of events as OneVis1on took a 2-0 victory from TiberianFuture.
It is time for the Semi-Finals, where the last 4 players began their series on the map Tournament Tower. Our first match-up saw Phoenix' taking a 3-0 victory from Death_Sentence. The second game saw Wookibert ending OneVis1on's run in this tournament with a 3-0 victory.
We are now brought to the Grand Final just 2 hours after this event started. The two players, Wookibert and Phoenix', start off on the map Tournament Arena where Phoenix' managed to overwhelm Wookibert in a great scorpion tank battle. Next they are brought onto the map Tournament Rift where Phoenix' managed to take a second victory in another intense scorpion tank showdown. After this match Wookibertdecided to concede the rest of the tournament to Phoenix'.
