Greetings commanders! It's time to put the Kane's Wrath Player Spotlight on another member of our playing community. This time the Spotlight is on
incapaisa, a long term player and highly active community member and supporter of our game.
ToxicShock: Hello, can you tell us something about yourself, your age, what you do and where you live?
incapaisa: My name is Tony, I am 30 years old and live in the Bronx, NY. Currently I am unemployed but collecting unemployment hence why I been so active recently. I was in health insurance industry for about seven years but looking to do something different with my business degree but enjoying time off for now.
TS: Can you tell us how you chose your nick name?
inca: So I am a South American latino mutt. My dad is from Peru and my mom is from Colombia. "Inca" comes from the ancient civilization originating from Peru from the Inca Empire. Colombians that are from the city Medellin are known as "Paisas". The term Paisa thus signify those Colombians hailing from Medellin. So I combined the two and came up with "IncaPaisa"
Pronounced: "in-kaa Pie- za" for you Sybert and Green Zero.
TS: Tell us about your history as a gamer.
inca: I been playing video games since I was five years old on the original Nintendo NES to present generation of consoles. I first played Command and Conquer on Playstation 1 which was given to me by my friend since he did not like it so I got lucky to be introduced to this franchise by accident. It was love at first sight and RTS became my favorite gaming genre second only to First person shooters. Though being only a console player I neglected the PC version and forgot all about CnC. Once Command and Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars was released for the Xbox360 I immediately got back on the Command and Conquer bandwagon. From then on I was hooked. Eventually I was lured to the PC version since EA at the time was hosting their show Battlecast Primetime which I adored and seen the top replays of the month and seen things are "REAL" on the PC. So I built a PC and got on TW and here I am.
TS: We've seen you playing in a lot of events recently (thank you for that) and about the place but you've not been around so much before that?
inca: I took a break from KW for a time but was playing since KW was released. Once Red Alert 3 was released I stopped playing KW and played RA3 more. Then I dabbled in SC2 and a few other games. At the insistence of my friend Jose (
Vercingetorix) leader of the latino clan, "Tiberium Lands", who begged me to return for some games, I re installed KW and fell back in love with the game.
Although I like RA3 and SC2, I enjoy the nine factions and epic units which KW offers, which I feel gives the game much more variety. The latino clan I belong to is Tiberium Lands. It is a spanish clan where we latinos congregated and talked/play Command and Conquer. The website is:

ImTibis, (Alan_X) and
Auroranegra, and
Vercingetorix but sadly none them are active anymore. I throughly enjoyed my time with them while they were active in KW.
So after returning to KW I am here to stay.
TS: Tell us about memorable events for you in KW.
inca: Honestly there are so many its hard to choose one or any. From winning a 2v1 when your mate is dead to overcome mutilple Superweapon attacks in a FFA and come back and win are definitely memorable but nothing specific stand out. In General it would have to be when
d.dackel won the World Cyber Games with his pro GDI.
Also
Technique winning both RA3 and KW ladder Season 3 events which I think is amazing to win both tournaments and play at such a high level. Also seeing Scorpsammer aka
Relativiti just upset
d.dackel in ladder season 2 (after he won WCG) match up and win the whole thing defeating
Dynamic in the finals. Most recently it definitely has to be the series with
Bikerush and
Masterleaf in the Kanes Wrath World Championships.
TS: Tell us what you prefer playing at the moment in KW (1v1 or 2v2, maps factions etc).
inca: I prefer FFA (free for all) out of all game types. It's exhilarating to be attacked by 2 or 3 players and defend and some how win against all odds. Though its hard to get one of these FFAs going but I try to play it when I can. Other than that I enjoy 2v2s then 1v1s, but definetly my favorite is FFAs. As far as factions I love and enjoy Random as I don't have a main faction. In TW I was a one faction noob with scrin but once KW was released with 9 factions I decided to rock random and will continue to do so. From all the factions though I have a love/hate relationship with the NOD one clicks and Scrin/Traveller Hexlaming. I love to do it but hate to face it.
TS: Who is your favourite playing partner?
inca: Without a doubt would me my mate
s2nzo. We work well with each other and at times we do crazy rushes which sometimes work or doesn't. We support each other well and he carry's me most of the time and for that I'm grateful for.
TS: Who do you hold in high regard as players?
inca: Definitely
Phoenix aka
Steve Nash. He went out of his way to help me improve with pointers, tips and hot keys usage. Also he has no ego, a solid pro and has a great sense of humor. I also see he helps out newer and less experienced players to help them get better and that's refreshing to see.
Bikerush for his amazing game play and awesome twitch streams. Amazing to see him win some games with his YOLO tactics, all ins and unorthodox game play, while typing in game chat. He is a unique talent and asset to the game.
Masterleaf for his performance at the World Championships and he also is a complete player and has a nice YouTube channel too. Old Pros which I hold great respect for would be
D.dackel,
Relativiti,
Technique, and
Khufu.
TS: Who do you think are the new players to watch at the moment?
inca: Players that I am happy to see improve would be
Wegottherockets,
Janea,
Davidapvidal, and
AggressivePanda. They all improved immensely. It's nice to see players get better and beat you thus forcing me to bring my A+ game when I play them where before I did not take them too seriously. It's refreshing to see they remain active and improve as they keep playing
TS: Do you have any plans or ambitions as a player?
inca: I hope to make it far in a future tournament, win one or at least pull an upset, but I'm just a mid player so that task would be difficult but I will keep trying.
Other than that I play for fun, I just go random and hope to have a good game. I never dodge and definitely enjoy playing against better players than me so I can improve and also face a great challenge. I enjoy the game and community immensely and hope to play as long as I can get some games even if that means I have to play the occasional Redzone game.
TS: Where do you see KW going at the moment?
inca: I hope the servers stay up and work properly. Hopefully the small community we do have keep on playing as day by day there is less players online which is sad to see. I hope some older players return but that seems less and less likely but one can hope.
