Regular Season Kickoff Date and Time

Sunday November 16th, 2014 at 00:00 GMT

Overview

Welcome, commanders to the 2014 Kane's Wrath 1v1 Tiberium League! This is a weekly league series in which players will compete against their opponents throughout the regular season for a chance to compete for a spot in the playoffs and ultimately a shot at the championship title. This will be your most grueling test yet, commander, so buckle up for some intense competition!

Tournament Organiser:Senior Officials:IMPORTANT: You must have the 1.02+ Release 10 Map Pack 1 dated 14 November 2014 installed to play in the league, which you can download from here (use only the alternate link)

Regular Season - Format, Scoring System, & Map Pool

Regular season length will span approximately 7 weeks and will be determined based on the number of qualified sign-ups. The regular season will be capped at a maximum of 64 players and will be divided into divisions of a maximum of 8 players per division, should the number of signups exceed 16. More specific information on divisions and regular season length will be announced 1 week prior to the start of each regular season.

Each player will play a total of 2 matches per week with pre-determined opponents, on pre-determined starting maps. Matches are made up of a 4-game series where players will battle it out to accrue points to raise their standing within the league.

Scoring System

A match is defined as a 4-game series between eligible players, and players will accrue points based on their performance throughout the series. The points system is as follows:

Win = 3 Points
A win is defined as a 3-1 / 4-0 score (w/l).
(if a player wins the first 3 games in a match, then the 4th game may be played at the loser's discretion and will have no impact on the resulting score.)

Draw = 1 Point
A draw is defined as a 2-2 score (w/l).
(in the event of a draw, both players receive 1 point)

Loss = 0 Points
A loss is defined as a 1-3 / 0-4 score (w/l).

Players will commence their matches on the pre-determined starting map and map choice will then be delegated to the losing player from the last game played. (ie. Player A wins game 1 against Player B, then Player B gets to choose the map for game 2)

Map pool

The map pool will consist of all 1.02+ maps (aside from "Control Zone" maps) from the 1.02+ Release 10 Map Pack 1 dated 14 November 2014. Starting maps will be pre-determined and announced by League officials prior to the start of the regular season, and are non-negotiable. After the first game, players may choose from the remaining pool of maps for subsequent games.

A map may be played only once in each match.

Players will have the entire week starting on Sunday at 00:00-GMT until the following Saturday at 23:59 GMT to complete their matches with their pre-determined opponents. It is the responsibility of both players to schedule agreeable times with their opponents to complete these matches on-time. All players should make an effort to schedule their matches by 00:00 GMT on Tuesday to ensure that enough time is available to address scheduling conflicts. Should a conflict arise with scheduling your matches, please contact league officials as soon as possible for mediation. In the event that a time cannot be agreed upon, the default time for the match will be at 12:00 GMT on the Saturday of that same week.

Regular Season - Rules & Regulations

Below you will find all of the rules & regulations that must be adhered to throughout the regular season. Please make yourselves very familiar with these, as there will be zero-tolerance for not conducting yourselves within these boundaries:

Complete Rules List
  • All games are to be played on 1.02+ R10 dated 14 November 2014.
  • Each player will play everyone within the their division twice. (Interdivision games will occur dependent upon the number of qualified sign-ups)
  • Each player will play 2 matches per week against pre-determined opponents.
  • Each week begins at 00:00 GMT on Sunday, and will conclude at 23:59 GMT on Saturday of that same week.
  • Each match consists of 4 games.
  • Tie-breakers are not permitted during the regular season, and will not be counted under any circumstances.
  • All starting maps will be selected by tournament officials. Any deviation from the chosen starting maps results in losses for both players; no exceptions.
  • Instant MCV sells at the start of a game (with the evident purpose of feeding a win to your opponent and/or to avoid playing a game/match) will result in disqualification from the remainder of the regular season.
  • If a player refuses to play a match against their opponent for any reason, they are immediately disqualified for the remainder of the regular season and will be ineligible to participate in the upcoming regular season.
  • Regular season games may be played on any service (ie. C&C:Online, Gameranger, Evolve, etc.). In the event that players cannot agree on which service to use, the default service will be C&C:Online.
  • Match results are to be reported in the "Regular Season Match Results" thread prior to 00:00 GMT of the Sunday of the following week.
  • It is the responsibility of the match winner to report the results and post replays. In the event of a draw, either player may report the results.
  • ALL REPLAYS MUST BE SAVED. IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF EVERY PLAYER (REGARDLESS OF WIN OR LOSS) TO SAVE ALL REPLAYS FROM THEIR OWN GAMES. ABSOLUTELY NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE TAKEN.
  • Failure to report match results by the specified time will result in both players receiving a "loss" for the match in question.
  • If any player fails to report the results of their matches twice within a single regular season, they will be disqualified for the remainder of the regular season.
  • If a player is disqualified during the regular season for any reason, then all results for the other players against that player for completed and upcoming matches will be removed (all wins, draws, & losses will be expunged).
  • If a player is disqualified during the regular season for any reason, they are also ineligible to compete in the post-season.

By signing up for this league, you are stating that you have read, understand, and agree to the rules & regulations listed above. If you have any questions or concerns about anything listed above, please contact a league official PRIOR to signing up for the league.

Out-of-Sync (OOS) Errors

In case of a desync or out-of-sync error, the following policy applies: You must save the replay, and a tournament staff member will review the replay. If there is a clear winner, that team will advance. If not, the match will be replayed. The staff member's decision is final and non-negotiable, and failure to comply with the decision may jeopardize your eligibility for future tournaments. Repeated OOS errors in relation to a particular player/team may indicate abuse. Should this occur, the player/team in question may be disqualified and banned from future tournaments.

Cheating/Disconnecting/Dispute Resolution

All reports and issues will be resolved by the league manager and the officials. Cheating and intentional disconnecting will result in disqualification from the regular season and a ban from future seasons hosted by GameReplays.org. Poor sportsmanship may also result in disqualification from the regular season.

Banned Exploits

Exploits are not permitted to be used during any game, and will result in immediate disqualification from the regular season. See the banned exploit list below for a number of known exploits that are specifically banned, but others may be added at league officials' discretion.

Banned Exploit List:
  • A player can use a Prodigy/Mastermind to teleport their Eradicator Hexapod to safety when the Hexapod is still under the effects of EMP.
  • A player can use a Prodigy to mind control an opponent's Epic Unit using area mind control ability while the opponent's other units are near the Epic Unit.
  • A player can quickly level up a flame tank via destroying neutral structures on a map.
  • Invincible air transport exploit.
  • Creating free infantry from Barracks/Hand of Nod/Portal sells.
  • Range exploit utilizing upgraded Venoms.
  • Teleporting any units by any means other than through the use of Prodigy/Mastermind abilities.

Post Season - Format, Rules, & Regulations

The Post Season is highly dependent on the number of eligible participating players in the Regular Season, so more information will be released once signups are complete and the regular season has commenced. With that said, this will consist of either a single or multiple day bracket-style event featuring the top players in the league. More information to follow upon the start of the regular season.
