The Empire's equivalent to the Soviet and Allied submersible units is the Mini Sub. This small submarine fires torpedoes like the Akula but is much faster since it is considerably smaller. Even though this submarine may be small it does deal significant damage even to the largest ships.
The Mini Sub's secondary ability is much like the burst drone which allows it to explode underwater dealing large amounts of damage to the surrounding units and structures. This is extremely effective if there are no other submersible units in your opponent's army since you could easily get under your opponent's ships.
