Greetings Comrades! They say better late than never, and I certainly am late, but let's recap how FTW #30 went down and find out who won what.
Results
Summary
FTW #30 kicked off with 20 players checking in and ready for action. With a double elimination format and every series being at least a Bo3 there were many opportunities for upsets. After a lot of 2-0s, and the biggest upset being Tony defeating GBHMichael in the round of 8, the top 4 of the tournament emerged. The winner's bracket quarterfinals featured 4del vs Dimon and Tony vs Jeromo. Dimon and Jeromo advanced over their opponents 2-0 and 2-1 respectively to advance on to the winner's bracket finals Bo5. While in the loser's bracket Tony and 4del defeated the on-comers to advance to the final round of the loser's bracket. Dimon was able to defeat Jeromo 3-2 in the winner's bracket, but Dimon had to leave and forfeited. As a result Jeromo remained as the winner's bracket winner and 4del vs Tony became the loser's bracket finals. 4del advanced 3-1 against Tony to face Jeromo in the Grand Final. Due to how Jeromo got into the Grand Final he did not start with a 1 point advantage for the final Bo7. You can check the full bracket to see more details. Finals
Once more the finals had a bit of an unusual twist as 4del played random every game and in the final game both 4del and Jeromo played random, which hasn't happened in a tournament finals for quite some time. At the end of the day it was 4del who took home the gold with a 4-0 clean sweep.
