Welcome Comrades! It's time to once again find out who's qualified for the Ladder Wars and a new ranking system for ladder seasons.
Qualifiers for January
This month the top eight players from the ladder for January will battle in the Ladder Wars to determine who will take the top spot.
Vindies
JeJe
ra3_no_ouji
Goldy
yzzd-F
Melvein
[LT]Laimis
SuperPower
All player must show up on February 8th at 14:00 GMT/15:00 CET in the Tournaments 01 lobby. If players fail to show up by 14:20 GMT they will be disqualified unless they contact Commissioner Sybert or Inspector RaGe. If need be, time differences can be cross-checked using this
time zone converter.
Players are still free to organize and play all their respective matches at a time that is more suitable for them before the formal date, though if this is the case, either
Commissioner Sybert or
Inspector RaGe must be notified and
all replays must be submitted to staff or posted in the replays topic. If no replays are submitted, the wins will not count.
Tournament Format & Pairings
Ladder Wars is split into three rounds and all matches are played in a Bo5 format. We're following the usual LW format for pairing opponents and you can check
this bracket for the official standing. Please note that due to the way that Challonge handles seeding the seed numbers are not representative of the ladder rank. The Quarter-Final pairings look as follows:
Vindies VS SuperPower
JeJe VS [LT]Laimis
ra3_no_ouji VS Melvein
Goldy VS yzzd-F
Good luck, have fun to our top eight qualifiers! We look forward to seeing your best of 5s.
Ladder Seasons
We're happy to announce the re-launch of ladder seasons for Red Alert 3 and the addition of season finals. There will be four ladder seasons throughout the year: January-March, April-June, July-September, and October-December. Each season will culminate in an eight man season final with the top four highest scoring Ladder Wars players being matched against the top four players of a yet to be announced league. Now, we are starting a little late with the announcement, but we want to give players additional incentive for ladder and other events. You may be wondering how we'll determine the top four players for a ladder season. Each Ladder Wars will rank the top four finishers and assign them points based on their final placement. This is how the points will break down for each Ladder Wars:
- 1st - 4 points
- 2nd - 3 points
- 3rd/ 4th - 1 point
That's all for now Commanders. We look forward to unveiling our new league soon.
