Hello guys,
According to major problems with Chinese I (SpainDevil) decided to write a guide about those lamers.
In this guide I don't just write down a strategy, instead of this I try to teach you how to react on each situation.
Chinese tactics and counters
What tactics do China Players use?- Old han rush (FB village + fast Chokuno ship + 7 Disciples)
- Slow Disciple + Cho-ku-no + pike rush
- Fast Fortress
When rushing he'll use these units-
Cho-Ku-No
(Ranged Infantry massed they are able to own your
Ashigaru. If he masses them get up some Naginatas) -
Qiang Pikeman
(Heavy Infantry, combinated with Cho-Ku-No they
can get dangerous for you, but Ashigaru own them) -
Disciple
(Light Infantry, together with Cho-Ku-No and Qiang
they own your Ashigaru, actually through their critical hits) -
Steppe Rider
(a Melee Cavalry which is able to own your Yumi's, but
in this rush you don´t use Yumi so they are no danger)
When FF'ing he'll use these units -
Arquebusiers
(Ranged Infantry, this will be the most used infantry
when he FF's. You can counter them with Yumi or Naginatas) -
Changdao Swordsman
(Heavy Infantry owns your Cavalry in melee
, they have a chance vs Ashigaru too) -
IronFlail
(Heavy Cavalry owns your Yumis but they lose vs Ashigaru) -
MeteorHammer
(second cavalry they will use nearly the same than Flails) -
Handmortars
(they will send in 7 of them this guys make your Flamearrows
totally useless they can also shoot on your infantry but
they aren't such a danger)
What tactics to use against his?- Ashigaru-Harrass-Semi-FF
- Yumi defence with some Ashigaru or Samurai as back-up vs. a rush
Units we'll use-
Ashigaru
(heavy infantry which we will use often. they kill most chinese units if they dont have Cho-Ku-No backup. they can also handle small amounts of Cho-Ku-No.)
-
Naginata
(melee cavalry which we can use to own Cho-Ku-No and
Arquebusiers but they get owned by disciple)
-
Yumi-Archer
(Ranged Infantry; very good vs his Changdao and Arquebusiers)
You can't know what tactic he'll use, because of this we need a sort of "Allround-tactic", which is variable.
