Anybody know why Apolo was holding on to up to 11k in cash mid-game. Seemed odd... and I think Xeon could have pushed into his expansion with the two or three tripods if he realized how few units Apolo had. This game was a little weird.
I wonder if Xeon was still shaken up from the last game, and was questioning himself a lot.

he dind't have many units, but enough. xeon couldn't have pushed into his base. Apollo had several seekers and enough desintegrators. they would have eaten the tripods.
I think xeon lost the game just because he wasn't fast enough in building and getting to the top left tib field.
Haha, he watched my previous games and he countered my build, you can see by watching my rax how I was thinking about this, I randomly thought he would counter my expo and I build 2 extra buzzers but I was a little slow
Khufu was the only player to beat me, I was lucky to get through the group stages, 10hour flight+jetlag+arrive late @ hotel + no sleep cuz of bodyclock + wake up at 7am for bus to take me to the event = nono for gaming LOL
Wubbed for magnitude if not quality. Xeon started off countering what he suspected Apollo was going to do but was unable to build on that. Apollo then promptly dominated the economy front and the match was never in doubt.
Even on his back foot, Apollo did everything that Xeon didn't do right in the previous match. Got a few disints to counter his opponent's seeker numbers superiority, Crawl-expanded ASAP, guaranteed his expansion, and harassed his opponent's (late) expansion with Tripods.
Meanwhile Xeon didn't take advantage of his early game head start to expand and get a huge lead in the match, and picked possibly the worst possible place in history to deploy his tech structure.
Nice job Apollo, congratulations for a well deserved title!
