lub00ber - Chimera
Build order: 1 Oil by taking half of the resource nodes with your first refinery, barracks, takes bank, oil expansion, extraction protocol and four crushers on the nearest refinery, 1 Aluminum refinery and then a spear vehicle bay

PROS:
  • Nice early defense against those hinds using upgraded crushers and pumas. One of the best ways to defend against early Cartel aggression. Well done!
  • You did not build turrets and rather focused on building units. I admire that.

CONS/TIPS:
  • Queued up too many crushers on a single refinery. You had 4 on your nearest oil refinery, whereas you only would’ve needed 3 to saturate it.
  • Try to be more efficient. You sold your first oil refinery pretty early after researching extraction protocol (that is 1000$ out of the window). Make sure to scout your starting resources using your surveyor before exploring the outskirts of your base. This way you can avoid misplacing refineries and missing resource nodes.
  • You did not build an outpost to your nearest expansion. Which could’ve been used as a staging post (or even a buffer zone) for repairing vehicles (pumas or even your Terminators and Tigres). You did build one to your neighboring bank which was nice. But next time make sure to build more outposts and utilize their extra build and repair power. Try and retreat earlier to save most of your units to fight another day.
  • All your attacks ended up costing you your whole army. Make sure this does not happen and try to preserve and save your units. Don’t forget to reinforce your army constantly. I know it’s hard when you don’t have the economy for it, but keep in mind that the more units you have on the map the more you can hang onto the game and keep yourself alive. Make sure every buildings you make, units you produce and attacks you carry out to have a meaning.
  • You built many things you could not afford. Like the super early Spear Vehicle bay + Sword Protocol into a Sword vehicle bay and researching all kinds of upgrades for units that you only used once or twice. Try and build a composition of units next time and stick to them. For example: Terminators + Tigre (or PAK-FA) or Pumas (with missile upgrade) and Exosoldiers.
  • You didn’t have any map control and did not challenge the Cartel player, who was slowly expanding towards you. You let him take too many banks and resource locations. Thus he managed to win the economical war and roll over you.

AUTblinder - Cartel
Build order: balanced opener, 1 oil refinery, 1 aluminum refinery, 1 barracks, takes bank using contractors and queues up 2 KMAXes for each near HQ refinery. Very efficient!

PROS:
  • Very nice opener and early aggression.
  • Steadily building new refineries and expanding forward very confidently.
  • Nice utilization of POWs.
  • Efficiently taking over enemy banks with minor losses.

CONS/TIPS:
  • Failed attack with Superhinds. You could’ve taken some Shershens and/or vipers with you and garrison some of the nearby buildings to assist in taking down the upgraded crushers and lug00ber’s oil refinery.
  • Going straight for Black Ops after the second Superhind attack and going for Berkuts was not a good idea. First of all because you could’ve still won the game without going Black Ops and spending that money for more troops or even more barracks of vehicle bays. You probably saw that the Chimera player was already on his knees. You only would’ve had to finish him. Secondly, your Berkuts were useless, they were sitting in their hangar doing nothing for you, since they had nothing to shoot at. Make sure you scout your opponent and react to the composition he is actually building.
  • Your early game was very nice and aggressive but you stopped attacking and let the Chimera player recover a bit.
  • Engaging the enemy on the ramp and loosing more units than necessary. Never do that! Try and choose a different route. Never fight an uphill battle!

Entertainment value: 4 / 10
Very one sided game, where both players were wasting resources on technology and units they didn’t need. Especially log00ber. Also it dragged on, because the cartel player AUTBlinder stopped attacking lob00ber giving him a chance to recover.

The main reason i was going for berkuts was that its quite difficult to deal with chimera helis, and a lot of chimera players like to go for them.

I had an advantage so yeah, my idea was "whats the only thing that could loose me the game right now" and i prepared for it. Better safe than sorry

The engagement on the ramp was indeed a very bad spot, but at this point i wasn t really trying to trade effective, i just wanted to overwhelm him.
