nice to know, that you are TheGeneral ;-) I am not sure, if there is a standard-strategy against Cartel-players. Usually i have a couple of Blazers, cause I can't remember, that a Cartel-player hasn't used Superhinds in the game.
Well I struggle to see what Cartel can actually do on this map. The USA will always beat them to the banks and usually there is a stalemate in the middle and USA economy always comes out on top in a basebuilding camp fest. Cartel economy is quite literally a joke.
Well about USA economy I guess its true, but I think you lost this game due poor micro mostly, your hinds haven't done anything really, you should have taken first bank earlier and second bank much much earlier. And then you just kept losing your units, mostly scorpions going head to head vs his army, as Chimera, you can not do it sadly, you must always keep falling back, so your units will have time to reload and shoot again, you gotta play mouse cat game Also why so many repair vehicles? Seems way way to many, better spend your gas on comanhes, stealth jeeps where you can load 4 marines and try to capture things or like 2 jeeps with 8vipers in total, you can kill refinery quite quickly. Ah and when you have attacked with first 4 hinds, you really needed to have like 5vipers and 1 marine(for capturing buildings or prisoners), so you can either capture 1 refinery very fast(you can make capture upgrade in 5sec) and other kill with vipers and hinds help, vipers can go to the building and with hinds fly around it. And you can avoid statement in the middle of the map, you just attack with small group of units, like you did e.g 3 hinds in middle of the game, he went to chase them and why you not just clear the middle while he run towards yours hinds? Your army was so close to his refineries.
I think this map is quite okay, a lot of places to harass which is very important for cartel, you can take middle banks very quickly, loaded vipers into the buildings (hinds, stealth jeeps). Seems good map I think.
Ah and about which start to choose, you can either did what you did, like opening a lot of refineries and then do hinds drops or you can be very aggressive from the start, 1oil+1allu+bank+oil+factory, make fast 2 scorpions and micro them properly, it can hurt him so much, and then make very fast 2 jackals and clear his bank and help to kill rpg's if hes chasing your tanks with them, then you make hind and capture banks, after you play standart, dropping vipers with hinds etc. Your choice, try both
