Power Point Progression
Early Game
Buy War-chant. Always buy War-chant, it is essential to counter the peasant spam by Rohan. It is the only reason and it's the only one you need.
After War-chant get Industry for two reasons:
- The 5 Uruk start gives Isengard a vulnerable economy since the majority of Isengard's resources will come from Lumber Mills until the Pike spam starts.
- War-chant to Industry gives you the shortest way to get Freezing Rain, which you will need vs. Rohan to negate the leadership of Heroes.
Middle Game
Palantir should be purchased once the player has reached this point: Palantir can be very useful vs. Forces of Light (FoL) because Wargs can kill any fleeing Rohirrim that aren't micro'ed well. That is why this Power Point should be obtained once you have Wargs. In most games, Isengard should still have six Power Points for Freezing Rain when it is needed. However, if you think that this won't be the case, then skip Palantir. It is better to have Freezing Rain and skip Palantir than to purchase Palantir to kill Rohan’s units. If Rohan uses Elven Wood before you have Freezing Rain, it is best to purchase Tainted Land and cover it. Note: Rain in combination with the opponent’s Land is bugged. If Freezing Rain is used and your opponent moves onto a Tainted Land and then gets off it, the opponent's troops will have leadership again. Be careful when your opponent lays Elven Wood, especially in a battle after Freezing Rain has just been used. It's a trap!
Late Game
Save up for the Balrog unless you think you need an economy boost to survive. In this case, Fuel the Fires or Devastation should be purchased.
