The Lightning Sword Trap
A very useful trick in Forces of Light mirrors - reducing your opponent's amount of horse battalions.
Look what direction his fleeing horses are going. If he is coming towards you (like this example) then cast Lightning Sword where you think he will run into. If he is running away from you, then put the circle a little bit in front of his horses. Use judgement to guess where his horses are going.
Sit back as his horse battalion slowly all fall to your lightning.
This is also a great way to take down flying units (Eagles and Nazgul)!
Sneaky Lightning Sword
Gondor Mirrors suck. The deadlock is annoying and it is all about waiting for the other guy to screw up with his Gandalf. This tip can be used to sneakily place a Lightning Sword on his Gandalf, either killing him or forcing him to use Heal.
Find his stationary Gandalf, maybe he does not know you are there. Lightning Sword has a LONG range. Put the circle just on the tip of him; the line of the circle underneath his horses's feet.
He never knew what hit him.
This trick is great because it can be used anywhere.
For example his Gandalf and Knights are destroying a Farm, his Gandalf generally finds a place and rests while his Knights do most of the work. Sneak up behind him, place Lightning Sword well et voilà - a dead Gandalf!
Constantly Istari Lighting his fleeing horses
An old yet useful trick. As you know Istari Light recharges fairly quickly. Constant Istariing of the enemy horses gains you two things:
- Power Points - Horses give loads of Powe Points
- Experience - Gandalf gets lots of experience from killing horses, from level 5-7 he levels up VERY fast using this trick.
A great tip using this trick is to wait for his horses to go through a place where they will be funneled (postern gate, against a rock/building), then Istari. Because of the splash damage your Istari Light will effect his clumped up horses and maybe even take out a whole battalion!
