Quickmatch Report July 2010

By Anarchy - 30th July 2010 - 23:13 PM

QM is back!

Everyone was very excited for this much needed ladder reset and the results have been nothing less of what we had hoped. Many people (including myself) have come back to BfME to at least play a few games and see where they rank within the community of this game. Of course the talent and skill isn't what it used to be, but there is still much competition within the QM ladders. The days of one account sitting on top of the QM ladder is over and we can all have a shot of being the top player without having to play a thousand games. Instead of having a large difference between the top two players and the rest of the community, the race for the top spot is very close. Between the number one player and the number ten player, there is only a difference of 126 elo points which was about the same as the difference between the number 2 player and the number 3 player before the reset. It has not been very easy after the ladder reset due to the absence of our Ladder Admin. Seek. Almost everyone of us has many reports that need to be handled, but because he is gone, we know that they will probably never be dealt with. The community has done a fine job keeping the activity up even though there are many cheaters that do everything possible to keep their opponent from winning. In the end, the ladder reset brought much success to BfME and its results are shown through the great activity the QM ladders are getting.

}{4LDiiiiR is in first place with 1526 elo points and BeachParty is close behind with 1513 elo points. H3D, jantje_sjoukes, and M3RG1N are a bit further back having only 5 or 6 elo points between them. The rest of the top 21 is listed below.

Unlike the 1v1 QM ladder, the 2v2 QM ladder hasn't changed as much as we all had hoped. The competition isn't as fierce as the 1v1 ladder, but there is still some fun to be had in it. The ladder is most active during the middle of the day for Europeans and usually either too late or too early for the others. It is still possible to get a game if you cannot play during that time, just grab a few friends and you can get as many games, with people you know, as you want.

CoC3, who has 1191 elo points, is at the top of the 2v2 QM ladder with iM4sturbate24`7 right behind with 1189 elo points. In third place there is }{4LDiiiiR who is also on top of the 1v1 QM ladder. The rest of the top 21 is listed below.

Game on!
