In this matchup Mordor can use different strategies, each with their advantages and disadvantages. I'll show you how to use them and how to counter Isengard's strategies.
In the early game Isengard has the upper hand with the strong Uruks with chant, so we need to defend or pit and mills, but at the same time you must kill Isengard's economy. Isengard is weak without an economy so if you are able to kill a mill in early game, you have a good chance of winning the game. The mid game is easier as you will have two to four pits and spam Orcs everywhere, but Isengard will throw Zerks on the field. Mordor can go fast Trolls and combos to finish off Isengard, but if you feel he will have rain and you don't want to take the risk to combo rush then a Naz rush is better and it will go to late game with mass catapults and Nazguls. As I already mentioned, rain cancels leadership. But always keep this in mind.
Every unit/hero who gives leadership and is made after Isengard cast rain will give leadership to every Mordor unit.
Every unit made after rain will get leadership (thats why Orcs are so good, they produce quickly, cost nothing and will get full leadership again).
