Strategies

Late Game
Late game is the hardest stage of the game while playing against Mordor. The good news is that you'll generally have the game won by this stage, if you've played well throughout the early and mid game stages. You are likely to encounter a few combos, two drummers, Witch-King, and potentially up to a dozen trolls, all possibly accompanied by some catapults. One of the most important things to remember is you probably still have map control, so chip away at what he has and it will wear down on their economy greatly. Another thing is, be careful with your heroes while around enemy combos that have leadership. Theoden, Eowyn, and Eomer all die extremely quickly in these situations.

The key is simply to pull Mordor apart. Early on in late game they won't have the entire army built up, prevent them from getting that army if at all possible. Once they have everything, it's extremely difficult to win. Keep up with harassment, keep his numbers and economy down. If you manage to get Glorious Charge, it can make things much easier. By using Glorious Charge you can use your rohirrim to safely trample Mordor's combos, and take down their catapults. Allowing your rohirrim archers easy kills on the trolls and Witch-King.

In a worst case scenario, keep in mind that if you suicide your army to kill everything Mordor has, you can more than likely rebuild your army faster than they can due to map control. Just remember to use everything to your advantage. The speed of your units allows you to base rush frequently, forcing Mordor to run in circles to chase you. Use flanking principles as well as sneak attacks. Bait their units out of their main base where they become more vulnerable, etc.
