Battle for Middle Earth

Nah, man stop making assumptions. I'm not biased towards anyone. Actually I was saying this was a pro game by 2 of the best players around, but it is such a shitty match up, as it's completly boring and repetitive to watch a game like this.

So the other games you played were all ownage reps? I would like to see some good rohan mordor reps.
Now for once, plz stop taking every comment made here (by me) as an personal attack. I've never had trouble with you and I would like to keep it that way.

If we wouldn't of had problems before, I doubt you would of came and made those comments. Anyways, yes... all those rohan mordor games were pretty much ownage. I only won once with aggressive use of aragorn to take down cage and a bad move by anaga to attack Aragorn with BM. Followed up by yeomen with fire/legolas keeping his cage down. The other games, I just got overwhelmed by trolls/drummer trolls. I am not sure why anaga can manage to get such early trolls even when i effectively keep his mills down but other mordor players can't. It's really beyond me.. Can you people not build slaughter houses?? I'd really like to be able to play more than 1-2 people.. or QM players. Especially if i left you be mordor

So what's anaga doing diff then all other mordors? I don't think much of most mordors today anyway, as of any CW players for that matter. Like 90% of them can't come up with there own stuff and just like to copy builds/moves they see here. They all have set up builds, and once they see something different happening they're completly lost. They don't even care to scout The game I once had vs tw33ty comes to mind
PPL just ASSUME you do this and that, and like I said, when you don't they're lost

AnAgA can just micro unlike 95% of the bfme community He came from ZH, (hi DEATH_YURI ) a very micro intense game, so I guess that's where it comes from. For some reason, he has at least 2 trolls before I get aragorn out and I will be lucky to get 1 creep vs him. I don't have any idea why other mordor players can't manage to do this. I admit I didn't play half as good as I could of in some of those games, ( i sware god was against me, i would try 10 times to get a warg lair and everytime warg was there ) my micro was way off. But in most, I managed to hit his economy just as hard as other players. In 1 game I kept him without lumber mills the whole time and even made him put up about 7 towers and he still had plenty of trolls. I have to take down cage.. but when I do he just waits for BM to wear off, then 3-4 trolls with orcs can easily take aragorn even with both heals. I guess I need to start with 1-2 horse archers?? Not really sure, I think I may need to rethink though. If I don't take down cage, he has drummer troll in no time and 6 trolls decking my walls with me having only aragorn 4 yeoman and lego and aragorn. In 1 game I even had my merry at his main mill the entire game (he chose to ignore him for some reason ) and I was pretty much on the back foot most of the time. So I just stayed next to my wall with theo (lvl 6), eowyn, aragorn, lego and an elf/2 yeomen both rank 10 from constant use of train archers/theos ability. I ran around killing mills with my sole survivor of rohirrim and eomer. I made sure if he attacked, I had all the leadership I could (I guess I should of kept eomer there.) I got out 3 HA and he had about 20 trolls with max LD, and I got slaughtered. I used GC heal and athelas and I got down 12-13 trolls of 20 at most. My army wasn't very big, but I still thought those trolls would go down like butter. (lvl 10 fire archers with aragorn/theo LD)

Now my opinion:
Outstanding game.

The Gollum trick by Pilly really caused problems for AnAgA – helped separate their economies a lot.

AnAgA’s use of the Balrog’s was excellent overall. He needs to put together a Balrog for Dummies cartoon for using it on a FoD base and for placing it under enemy troops. He took down 4 buildings and the citadel several times with the fire breath and continually destroyed a lot of Pilly’s army by summoning it in the correct places.

One of the keys to the match was a little luck by AnAgA. He was remaking 2 of his nazguls at the top outpost. Pilly almost had the citadel down before they popped out. If the citadel would have gone down a little sooner, I think the momentum would have been on Pilly’s side big time. Pilly could have taken that citadel down with a single naz a lot sooner, but opted to attack nearby orcs instead – which in retrospect was a mistake (which I just read above that Pilly knows he made).

So, the main piece of advice that I can offer is to keep the citadels down when you have some of your opponent’s naz out of the game.

Three keys to this game:
1. AnAgA’s used of Balrog
2. Pilly loosing 2 naz to fire archers by being too aggressive with them
3. Not keeping the citadel down to keep naz from remaking

8/10 - Two of the very best players in the game going at each other relentlessly.

BTW – I nailed the 7/10 on AnAgA’s silver with Hannibal. It only took several weeks for a RR to review it. I hope it doesn’t take that long to get this one reviewed.

unfortunately.. none of them were very good, the one I won was pretty bad as well. I think i could put up a much better fight than those games, I played poorly in all of them.

Thanks for actual views on the game timeforlight. (only person before bleeder who said he actually watched the whole thing.) I decided to watch the game myself.. how upsetting to lose. Not taking down the citadel was just a critical mental mistake I would usually not make. I was in control of this game the entire time, just a few critical mistakes that cost me. This game pretty much depicts why I hate mordor mirrors as well. But I really think it was an amazing game and gold no doubt.

watched it a while ago. and tbh i dont know how anaga won he was in such a deep hole. it seemed the only reason he won was balrog usage and some stupid naz junk. was a vgg tho.


btw he should have realized the gollum thing faster
