This is only my second 2v2 with Jack and it was pretty decent game. All four of us agreed it should be posted. Review would be great, thanks.

wasn't a bad game
i would still rather play mor/isen than roh/isen, but team SM maia says that roh/isen is stronger
decide on your own
was mostly good game from both teams tbh
both teams without much experience with each other, as it was like the 5th game with Axcell (first one vs pros though sad.gif )
ENJOY! thumb.gif

Mordor Isen is better at start imo. If Rohan Isen can cripple either of the Fods well enough, then they could finish one of them off quickly and tip the advantage in their favor.

any match-up can beat any match-up in my opinion if played right but the problem with mordor isen against rohan isen is that the isen on mordor's side has to get some pikes and worry about their rohirrim before starting on combos and upgrades

and at the start mordor isen is quite strong yes but if rohan isen team up on the mordor those uruks and peasants with chant can rly fuck u over whether u pick eye or land

problem is if u dont own that mordor enough early and mid game catas are a big problem, its kinda hard 2 tell but rohans rohirrim is a big advantage in their match-up and can do so much harrassing and killing catas and such

I actually thought we had a pretty good chance of being able to win this game.

But Maia is right, rohan/isen isn't doomed at all. Rohan will prolly have the best early game and with some good harassing isen can get his econ up again and get faster combo's then the isen in the fod team.

Important for rohan/isen is to get into the rain stage, by keep being agrresive. In the rain stage heroes own.

Stone, I still didn't get why u were so much into destroying isen's pit in midgame, isen didn't have to spam out anymore pikes anyway at that stage. I think we should have coordinated our harassing in early midgame better (zerks and rohirrim combo) and hitting mordor even harder with possibly 3 wc rohirrim in mordor's base.

Anyway thnx to this game some improvements for this mu came up in my mind after watching it. It was a gg but there were several things in this game everyone could have done better.

Starting positions:
Team 4: (Rohan) ST0N3 / (Isen) Entraxz - West
Team 1: (Mordor) ]CBA|ffs` / (Isen) [PLOW]BooMKaT - East

Overview:

An intense 2v2 here with lots of drawn-out battles. A very fun MU to watch with tons of Ld competing and constant harassing. There were a few micro mistakes here and there and Team 1 did not coordinate their defenses in mid game very well, but were able to fight back with superior Ld, catapults, and eventually Balrog.

Team 4 Commentary:

You guys did very well overall. Isen's early game was rather odd, you didn't even go to the other side of the map to harass the enemy's settlements so they were allowed to get furns and SHs up quickly. Other than that, both of your mid game performances were pretty good. Rohan was nice and aggressive with the rohirrim, maybe lost control of them when you started rushing Isen's base. You lost a good rank 5 battalion just to take down his pit, which is definitely not a good trade off in your position. Instead, the two of you should've worked together to take out Mordor in mid game. I would suggest sending several of Isen's berserks to take care of towers and the citadel whereas Rohan can kill the cage asap and then defend from the enemy Isen's reinforcements. With WC and Heal available, you would've devastated Mordor's economy and internal structures, giving you ample time to mass up upgrades and finish him off. Other than that, you did pretty well. Isen should've made a siege works instead of a warg pit, you seriously needed a better counter to both Mordor's catas and Isen's combos. Wargs are pretty useless against a fully Ld-supported army, especially with just one or two battalions. Rohan didn't make more rohirrim until late late game and so Mordor's catapults were already taking advantage of your infantry armies. It looked like you got too overexcited in the end and did not plan out your attacks properly. Thus Rohan lost his heroes very quickly and Isen couldn't do much with just a few combos.
  • Coordinate your early game units more effectively because you seriously need to take out Mordor early on in this MU. As a Rohan /Isen combo, you have lots of options in what kind of units you use against them, but as I said earlier a berserk /WC rohirrim rush is a nightmare to a double FoD team.

Team 1 Commentary:

Isen's early game harassment was pretty good, seemed disorganized with your first uruk horde and hesitated with WC but was aggressive enough to split up and attack his mills. Overall you did well but you really let your defense down in mid game. They were throwing FU rohirrim at you and eventually wargs, so without pikes both yours and Mordor's mills were very vulnerable since Mordor needed his trolls for the battles. All you needed was one battalion to each mill and maybe three more to defend your base and Mordor's. Besides that though, you used your combos pretty well and your teamwork was nice in the battles. The only other mistake I want to point out on your part is in late game when you were cash floating to 10,000, Mordor had about 1,000 and was struggling to mass up his trolls. Isen should've given Mordor two of his mills so Mordor's economy could get a nice boost and he could get an army much quicker. Other than that, good teamwork. On Mordor, your micro was impressive too. Used catapults very nicely, trolls were good and you coordinated your spells with Isen correctly. I thought you probably should've saved for WK at some point in late game but since Isen never gave you some mills back, you were ok with the troll /cata spammage.
  • In mid game, Mordor forgot to keep your pit producing orcs. You should always have 10-15 battalions queued at this point in order to keep the enemy team on their toes and to get more PP.
  • At one point Mordor had his army near the camp with an enemy hobbit cloaked there. Use G for Guard with a troll so it can kill the hobbit, then you can take the camp if you have the money.

Overall Rating: 5

Tbh I don't think it would have been good for me to go agressive, team1's isen used a start to get to my mills quicly and I had to team up with rohan early. If I wouldn't have defended my econ would have been even worse nd i wouldn't have been able to get uruks out.
Stone shuld have made some more peasents to defend if i wanted to sent my uruks offensively.

Rush on mordor would have been a good option,

As for our lategame unit choises, I agree i should have eventuelly get some siege since i had some nice cash, but wargs weren't useless at all if you noticed how many cata's they too out. I didn't have to worry about the LD to much becuase we could held the fights in rain anyway.

I also should have been able to pin Saruman more and i should have given stone 2 mills back since he had a shit econ, not that i knew (STON3 tell me)

THNX for the review

nice review thrandy

...ye i didnt want wk at all this game, i had to keep spamming catas and trolls for thug cos if we didnt have catas i think they would have beaten us in all the battles as they had more combos and units/heros + wk wont come in handy much since they got rain
