[DOS]Th3J4ckaL / Rohan – East

Overview

A fairly average game with the start full of hit and run horse battles, but BooMKaT picked his fights better and gradually got him self on top. both players following very similar strats, however even after a slower start, BooMKaT managed to get a better economy going and always seemed to be one step ahead of Th3J4ckaL who didn’t seem to be on form, making a lot of silly mistakes.

[PLOW]BooMKaT / Rohan

Your start could have been better, you were unlucky to be caught out creeping and he managed to steal the creep from you, I liked however the way you lured the wargs away with merry so you could buy the farm and then go about killing the wargs. You then did well to creep the bottom left warg with merry and some left over peasants, giving you a nice cash boost to catch you up. When your knights came out you did well to interrupt his creeping and get some creeps yourself, you chose your battles wisely and whereas he was often losing battles you were constantly on top. Good work cloaking merry next to a farm, and then when he was attacking took out a whole battalion with him, and very nearly a 2nd one as well . You got grades at almost the exact same time as he did, and followed quickly with Theoden, after which you went peasant archers, much faster than he was doing. You knew you were on top of the pp race, so when he used elves you were safe to lay down a wood, giving you a huge advantage, especially when he came and fought you on it, and a well timed GC took at much of his army at which point it was gg.

Mistakes / Things to improve

• Keep fighting for map control, you were sometimes stood around in the middle not doing anything
• Be quicker to close your gate, could have trapped him in there a few times and killed off his knights.
• Try to sell farms before red health


[DOS]Th3J4ckaL / Rohan

You had a good start but failed to capitalise. Your extra peasants through the middle caught him creeping and meant you could steel the creep, however one of your peasant battalions were stood by not attacking, if they had been could have taken the creep and not lost all your peasants. You also managed to get one of his farms down, and got your stables up quite a lot faster than him, however when both knights were out you seemed to be one step behind. You made many mistakes which I’m sure you realised, you lost several battalions, one to merry and a couple running in to his base, not sure why you kept doing this. You were still just about keeping up with him, but one of the turning points was just after a Theoden and knights fight, instead of going back to heal you used your heal power and then went to attack the outpost, which, because you didn’t have heal meant you lost Theoden , ranking his up and giving him even more pp’s. You must have known you were behind in the pp race, so when you placed elves this meant he could use wood, which is what essentially won him that last battle. Why did you fight him on the wood? None of your troops were getting leadership and he had an extra 50% armour, so when he came with his GC knights he just ‘plowed’ though you and it was gg.

Mistakes / Things to improve

• Keep and eye on all your knights, try not to lose any
• You still had a stables up, you could have done with a couple of extra battalions to get you MC
• Don’t waste heal when you can take 15secs out to go to your well
• Try to wait to use pp’s so you can counter wood if its placed.
• Don’t fight on an enemies elven wood

calm down daz, i told u i couldn't rematch for 30 mins cos i had to play with my sisters baby so don't start the dodge shit, and NO i won't ask u if i want to post a game. I also forgot to point out that i did a different start and it worked well.

gc y post that? i said to u before the game i was gonna try it and it failed, there was no counter to it, i just fucked up with my hobbit and you got the money from my creep which gave u a better economy, hang onto that victory cos its last time we play.
