Battle for Middle Earth

now am back on LOTR for a bit (still hopeing to get unbanned but another story) this wa my 3rd game back, am trying to get gondor pro well i mean gondor uber pro untouchable unstoppable. only james gondor who is worthy imo of telling me where i went wrong (until i surpass his gondor with mine in like a week) so anwyay james give us a review pwease

also i hope light doesnt mind me posting this, even though i won i am posting it to see what i could of done a whole lot better instead of letting the game prelong.

Gondor(Gunninub) vs Isen(Lightpro)

Light(Isen)
PP Progression:
Chant>>Palintar>>Land>>Industry>>Rain>>Roggy>>Devastation>>Fuel the fires
Starting BO:
Pit to uruk spam, then archer with pike spam

Pros:
+Killed both of his outer farms at start
+Saved both of your mills
+Nice creeping with pikes and archers
+Nice warg spam before upgrades to maintain map control easier
+Kept MC for most of the game, until end
+Killed Gandi twice

Cons:
-Clumped wargs all game(You need to spread them out as if they were knights)
-Used land when you knew he had it
-Let the knights that you wormtounged, run away.(You could have placed them in the middle of your army and killed them
-Wasted howl a lot
-Didn’t aim towers on Gandi when he attacked your base(Could have killed him or made him run faster)
-Made pike combos vs rangers(Should have made uruk combos)

General Comments:
You had a great start getting a lot of the creeps and maintaining map control nicely. He didn’t really have a counter to warg spam with the pikes you had at the top of the map. After that you did a good job of getting combos and upgrades, you just made a few mistakes when he had Gandi out running around. Like pinning him when you had no real support to help kill him. Nice game up until he had a full army of rangers, then you kinda gave up it looked like. You left 2 wargs in back doing nothing, and it would have been smart to have a few ballistas with you while you attacked.

PP Progression:

Starting BO:
3 farms to stable with a 3 knights and HS’s

Pros:
+Got creep early with Pip
+Used Melee with knights instead of trampling for the most part
+Killed lurtz and saruman a few times(Killed them both at the same time with 1 istari LOL)
+Good use of Gandi for the most part
+Ranger spam to win the game
+Got WOP and used right as Gandi died to kill his whole army

Cons:
-Lost both starting farms
-Ran through chanted uruks which took out almost a whole knight unit for a while
-Very slow to rush his base, could have done it earlier and really hurt him
-Got a bunch of unupgraded soldiers and TG’s then Gandi? (Just get gandi first)
-Didn’t pressure his base much at all
-Didn’t fight for map control until the end of the game really
-Ran knights into a lot of pikes when you weren’t paying attention
-Lost Gandi twice(1 time very stupidly, fighting 5 pike combos with 2 knights and gandi is NOT smart)
-Didn’t keep TG’s with combos when he had a ton of wargs
-You were very uncoordinated with your attacks until the last couple
-Built SW

General Comments:
You had a rough start, you got land early which is what most gondor’s do vs isen, but as you notice it did absolutely nothing. (Which is why I don’t get it. )After you got your knights out you did a little better but you still didn’t really fight for map control much and left knights sitting around a lot. You should have rushed his base and harassed a lot more then you did. You got barracks fairly quickly but you didn’t really use them at all. You spammed soldiers and tg’s into your base with no upgrades then made gandi. Just go for gandi first and you will be able to take over the map much easier then you did. Once you had an army of rangers and heroes you had it under control, even though you still waited forever to finish the game.

Overall Comments:
Was an isen dominated game early game until gandi came out, then things started going in gondor’s favor after isen lost most of it’s army. There were a lot of nice battles which last for a decent amount of time but nothing really to get excited about. Was a decent game which showed to good strats that cane be used with minor tweaking. Long game with all summons and big armies, wasn’t that fun to watch but it showed some good strats and tips for newer players.

James, did LiGht rly keep mc untill the end?

I just watched it, and i was surprised how easy gunny could claim most of the souther farms during most of mid/late game.

Imo, light did an exellent early game, and it could, and SHOULD have ended waaaay befor late game.
But then i dont know what happned.

The cash floating was just disturbing tbh , and were was the siege???
Gunny hadnt even filled his base, when light were pumping out wargs, and had 2500 just sitting there.
To many warg, to few piks.

Ups way faster imo, and then a few rams and gg. He had nothing but knights. Get HA and FB, get some piks to protec and 2 rams and bye bye gunny.

Just my opinion.

haha, yeah i had a lot of cash and didnt know what to do with it lol also if i got heal at start WTF could i do vs all those uruks?? at least with land i can lay it down like 3 times before he has it.

and get gandi after ups on horses yes? what happens if he just mass pikes spams (which he didnt really do) i only kept my soldiers in my base because if i sent them out to kill a few pikes he would of killed them no sweat with wargs
