Hi, guys. I just played this game against orc and I tought I did ok for myself. It's extremly rare to get this matchup against good mordor or any mordor as a matter of fact in qm. sad.gif

So, not much chance to get decent practice. smile.gif

Anyway, review. It was his host but almost no lag, so gg, wp mate. I need tips, lots of them.

Starting positions:
Team 1: (Mordor) orcofbaraddur - East
Team 2: (Mordor) StuntedAzrael - West

Overview:

Pretty good game here, both players knew the basic build orders and strategies for this mirror. Azrael wasn't very aggressive in early and mid game though so orc had an easy time gaining the upper hand and putting pressure on Azrael's economy. Eventually Azrael was forced to camp which game orc ample time to get drummers, catapults, and combos to finish the game.

Team 1 Commentary:

Good build order, might not want to be so carefree with Gollum because he can be devastating on this map if you send him to each of Mordor's mills constantly and attack every one at random times. Orc harassment was pretty good overall, could be better but this is a hard map for a perfect orc spam. Nazguls were a bit of a problem here, they did zero fighting in the late game battles. Only stay back with the Witch King, in late game Nazguls are meant to rush into a full army, take out some archers, drummer trolls, and catapults so that your own army will have an advantage. Doesn't really matter if they die as long as you aren't sacrificing them needlessly. Other than that, good game here.
  • It's not really necessary to build extra orc pits at your outposts in late game. Simply build siege works and troll cages faster to rush the opponent in a larger attack earlier rather than allowing him to build up during your orc spam.
  • Buy banner carriers for your combos before sending them into a fight so that their damage and armor will be higher. They will also rank up a lot quicker since they are getting experience after already being rank 2.
Team 2 Commentary:

You did ok, build order was correct generally but you didn't really use it very well on a map this large. On larger maps, a better build order for this kind of mirror would be something like 2 pits --> furns --> trolls --> drummer trolls --> combos --> upgrades --> Nazguls --> catas. Only do so if you feel like you can damage the opponent's economy early on, that way he will get his 1st Nazgul much later and you can rush his cita with trolls. You might do this by orc spamming in early and mid game, laming Gollum, creeping, and then building a cage at a forward outpost. Besides that, you did ok overall. I would not suggest getting Witch King first unless, again, you can hurt the opponent's economy early. It's safer to get both Nazguls --> WK since you can harass a lot better and you won't be playing the defensive.
  • Use Eye more wisely, in the combo fights you left it in the same spot when you had to move and so your combos were without Ld.
  • Don't forget to use Industry immediately after it is recharged instead of forgetting about it for so long.
  • Also don't forget to knock your mills at mid health because you were handing the enemy Mordor a lot of PP.
