Starting positions:
ImOutOfIdeas - South
BUBaseball - North

Overview:

An ok game with with couple of big battles and heroes. Rohan is very far ahead of Isen with some aggressive creeping. Thus, Rohan decides to Aragorn rush and is poised to win... untill a ranked Lurtz turns the tide!

ImOutOfIdeas - Rohan

You chose to go for the fastest peasants possible and I would have to disagree here. Extra peasants will always do you good as other Isen's with better pathways will intercept your farms and creeps. You had some problems micro'ing your horses throughout the game. Always melee uruks. Don't trample them as it causes alot of damage on your horses (fyi: 2 WC uruks > 1 Rohirrim even if melee'ing). Also, always try to split up your horses to harass more at once. You tended to ride around in groups of 2 horses to the same location. Main problem here along with horse micro is your strategy. An Aragorn rush could have worked considering he only made combos (minus him getting a rank 5 Lurtz). Always think about map control. Map control leads to more economy for you, and less for your opponent. Your opponent can't do anything without money. So counter his pikes with upgrades and peasants and rush an army.

How to Improve

  • Extra peasants. More peasants never really slow down your horses significantly and will help with Isen's who will slow your early game.
  • Horse micro. Always melee uruks. You can kill an uruk batt with less damage to your rohirrim.
  • Horse macro. You rode around with all your horses harassing the same structures. Split them up to harass more at once.
  • PP route. Elves are always a good second choice as they counter pikes and last a long time. Abuse your horse micro to keep them alive so you don't have to pick heal. Ofc it might of been the better choice if you were planning on Aragorn rushing from the start.
  • Strategy. Aragorn rush is not the best option. Upgrades and Theo + melee is the better counter to pikes.

BUBaseball - Isengard

Your starting pathways for this map really put a hurt you early. Consider different pathways that might prevent him from creeping and gaining extra farms. On large maps like this, always check the creeps to see if your opponent is there. Don't put your armory at the front of your base. Uruk pit is ok so you can get units out faster, but other important buildings should go near the back to protect them from horses. The order in which you upgraded should have gone Armor > Blades > Banner > Fire. Armor keeps you safe from elves and can help you with FU rohirrim and un-upgraded peasants. Fire is not that necessary if you had spammed pikes and help map control. Lastly, your micro was what killed you in this game. You were in position to kill him but always remember to kill what's hurting you the most. Always kill Theo first and pin Aragorn to kill him aftewards.

How to Improve

  • Pathways/BO. You gave him an extra farm that you could have taken easily (west mill) amd allowing him to creep.
  • Formation use. Your pikes were trampled many times throughout the game. Try to use your formations more effectively.
  • Base layout. Always keep your important buildings in the back where they are harder to get to.
  • Upgrade order. Armor always comes first vs. FoL. Keeps your pikes alive longer from elves and upgraded rohirrim.
  • Unit diffrientiation. A balanced army will win 90% of the time. A balanced army will leave you versatile and ready to handle any situation.

Overall Rating: 5 (Low 5)
