Non-stop action, no timeouts. This is my favourite matchup in 1 vs 1. Respect.

Starting positions:
Rohan/romero318 - West
Isengard/[FOR]NoOneElse - East

Overview:

Another good watch, Rohan gained the upper hand early on with some good peasant use. With the help of a pike spam isen fought his way back into the game and began to take control. However Rohan then pushed back hard with a relentless enting on the isen base wave after wave until AotD killed off the last of isen's army and allowed the Rohirrim to mop up. Even Balrog killing the Rohan base couldn't turn it in the end, Rohan held an outpost and isen was unable to fight back without an army. Well played Guys, Good Game.

Rohan/romero318

Well you played a very good game and came away with a close victory. Your initial peasant use was good - dealing significant damage to his early econ. However imo you failed to keep up this good start with your first rohirrim, you already were going to take the top mill with peasants and so should have sent your horses straight to his other mill before he could get pikes out. You lost control a little in mid-game, you need to make sure that you keep up a spam of peasants to battle the pikes for MC. With some FU peasants holding the map you could have won this much quicker. Once his wargs came out you should be thinking about getting some more rohirrim so that you can still compete for MC against his 4 wargs. Some earlier Theo LD would have helped you on your way. However you managed to keep up the pressure nicely with a spam of Ents and eventually managed to reach AotD which won you the game. Balrog may have caused a slight panic at first but caused no real problems to prevent you closing out the game, WP.
  • try to make better use of your early rohirrim, his pikes were late, you went too a mill you were already taking with peasants
  • keep up more of a peasant spam throughout mid-game so you can hold MC
  • could have really benefited from an early Theo to give LD to your elves (before he got rain)
  • needed to replace some rohirrim to compete with wargs for MC
Isengard/[FOR]NoOneElse

A decent game from you, however your pikes were late and had his first horses been more harrassive as opposed to defending first you could have had problems. Imo put more emphasis on creeping it is important that you stop him getting elf summon or at least delay it as long as possible. When you purchase your upgrades armour is a better first choice as it means that your pikes can withstand slightly more fire from elves and it serves pikes better when horses melee with them. Your pike spam was a little feele also, keep pumping them out and get a batt on most mills and maybe consider leaving some at your base as a defence. I think the thing that lost you this game was the amount of pp you gave away from his entings, your army could easily hold them off but he was allowed to trample far too many and so reached AotD, try and get combos to target different ents to set them alight and stop them in their tracks before they reach your combos, then split them up and target the ents with some batts while running endangered batts. On the whole a nice game, some good warg useage throughout and a decent competition for map control and very nice balrog use. Unlucky in the end.
  • Dont start pit+furn vs rohan
  • Pikes were late, uruks higher priority early on
  • More pikes in pike spam
  • Make combos target different ents to stop them trampling through combos and giving pp
Overall Rating: 6
