Battle for Middle Earth

Ok, I was looking through my replay collection... and I found this, its quite old (bout a month ago ) but i think it is worth reviewing. It was a qm so is on Dunharrow but still a good watch.

Plz dont be 2 harsh on my balrog usage, it was his host and it was near impossible 2 use roggy 2 his full potential.

No, lag kills us all.

200 k is quite some game.

I'm guessing it was back and forth with battles quite a lot maybe?

I don't know will wait for review untill i decide to watch or not.

My balrog micro wasnt tht bad tbh

I used it 3 times on his base...
1st time he screwed up and started attacking cita before i could breathe fire
2nd time was a lot better, he just messed about a bit, left him with just a cita on bout 30%
3rd time i killed castle!!

Oh and 4th time was killin his last outpost.... even i managed 2 micro this one...

Cons

A lot of bad build plot management. Eg. Destroying farm and not making anything in the plot for forever, making three wells, making armory, only buying one grade them buying ara ect.

Bad army management. Late game you constantly had your army in two parts that were defeated separately when together they would of won.

Bad late game cav management, you kept chasing 1 batt of wargs with all your cav, and leaving cav passive during big battles.


player summery

Your early game was excellent. Your horse micro was good, and you survived isen’s early rush. However, mid game your bo was atrocious. Even though you had total mc isen’s army was still as large as yours and he defeated your army. Don’t make gimmers, he’s a waste of $, and don’t rush leggo. You should of just made some combos, maybe ara and then gg. Late game your micro fell apart. You fought fights you couldn’t win, you lost heroes left and right, and your cav was largely ineffective. Also, your build spot management was bad, having several wells, bad armory management ect. These little things together with your co and bad late game micro lost you the game. Just try to keep a cool head later, and work on your bo and you will be fine!

You played a pretty good game. However, your play was littered with mistakes and quite a bit of bad micro, you lost Lurtz way to often. Early game you were crushed because of poor containment, this was your biggest fault. Sending that first pike batt to its death trying to creep a warg (you didn’t use formation) ment that you couldn’t contest rohan in mc because you were playing catch up from losing a pike. But then because of Rohan’s bo your recovered, and managed to win. Not a huge number of suggestions. Just try to improve your micro.

Game summery

Rohan owned early. His horse micro was good and isen’s pike spam was poor so Rohan managed to get complete mc. However, Rohan’s bo was bad, so when isen attacked he had a better army then Rohan. Rohan was pushed back and a long fight ensued. Rohan ultimately lost do to bad hero micro and bad army management. He lost entire armies for no reason, and was constantly losing heroes. As such isen got Balrog before Rohan got aotd. Isen ultimately won by using Balrog to destroy Rohan’s base.

Well i knew this was not a game of extremely high skill as it was a while ago and i didnt play my best, but i thought it was an interesting game - very different.
