Well Storm Blue came to me at around 3 pm Sunday morning, totally drunk, and said: "Come Mavsman let's play a game" I'm like, ok sure. He says join this and this game. Bla bla bla and we play.
I got isen, which isn't my forte, but I think I did alright. It was a different map whose name I remember either Anyways, it was a pretty good game so I thought I'd post it to get some tips for my isen. ( Cause as of now it ain't that good)
Pros: worked well as a team early used beacons harassed well with Knights
Cons: no units from Gondor other than Knights (major cash floating) Gondor was late to go to Isen's aid when Isen player was beseiged lost heroes exposed trebuchets to attack from Rohirrim
Overall, you guys had an OK game. Your start was good, and it looked promising for you. However, your Gondor player failed to produce units for a very long time which left you with the power to harass with his Knights, but his lack of other units made it impossible for you to stand up to 2 armies. Your Gondor was also late to help Isengard while they were beseiged, and your lack of units in that fight lost you Lurtz and Gandalf (they can't do it all alone.) Also, you sent your trebs out into the open unprotected and they were destroyed by Rohirrim. Follow my advice, and good luck in the future.
Pros: shared powers well (healed Isen's Lurtz, WC'ed Rohan units) used beacons worked well as a team mid-late game solid harassment throughout (kept Gondor's Knights busy so they couldn't attack your base)
Cons: didn't work as a team early a little bad Rohrirrim micro (rode Rohirrim into pike/Xbows combos) lost Theoden (didn't retreat him)
Overall, you guys had a pretty good game. I didn't think your Isen was all that bad (maybe work for a little faster upgrades). The way you guys started was very good(Isen went for infantry to hold MC, while Rohan went for cavalry to harass/ take MC). Your problems early resulted when you didn't work together while using this stategy. Rohan was riding its Rohirrim around harassing while you were trying to hold back Isen and Gondor infantry attacks on your base (he should have pitched in a bit sooner to help you break out. Also, remember to retreat heroes if they are on low health, and try not to run Rohirrim into pike/xbow combos (or pikes in general). Good game, a nice seige on Gondor, and good luck in the future.
B2B|Mavs/T4B|StormBlue Overall Score: 5/10
A nice game with one side having an early advantage but blowing it by not making enough units to support its MC/heroes. Fairly entertaining with a nice seige on Gondor at the end.
Not intentionally, I just sort of settled on this format for my reviews on my last application. He's pointed out to me in the past how similar they are. Great minds think alike I guess
