A real fight vs 2 top mordors, he won but i should have started 2 pit, its the best.

It was a good game yes, but it was my first mirror in 3 months (inactive cause of patch) So dont flame me too much guys!

Furthermore it was a good game vs a good player Forreal. If u watch the replay i know i should have done the job more quicker but i was just teasing

Extra mill workers.
Good mill worker harassment with Gollum.
Good initial orc spam.

Slow to get economy structures.
No scouting of enemy camp.

Comments: Your basic mistake was not paying any attention to your economy. Your orc spam was good but compared to the pure two pit start you did not get much initial momentum and you were fighting a holding action in the centre from the start. You were correct in your previous post that the two pit start's biggest weakness is the initial vulnerability especially when they go for 2 pits and Gollum. There is no chance of a tower for quite a while and you would have beaten them back by focussing your attacks on the enemy camp rather than chosing to fight for the centre.

Your solution of building more and more orc pits will only work until the Nazgul appear and your pits appeared too late to turn the momentum in your favour. The first faction to get economy structures stabilised at the back of their camp will get Nazgul first and take map control. Scouting the enemy camp should have told you how far behind you were in economic terms and allowed to you plan ahead but you didn't scout much at all.

Once the Nazgul appeared if you don't have orc archers with fire ready then it should be game over. Your opponent was slow and too passive after the Nazgul appeared and preferred to wait for the Balrog, a race which he should have lost had you taken the direct PP route and this would still have given you your best chance to win.

This match up proceeds in phases - orc spam, Nazgul and then Nazgul counters and your success lies in timing your start to each phase to counter your opponents plans. You got stuck in the first phase because you didn;t have the economy to move on to the next phase.

Build Order: 2 Pits + Gollum, Pits * 3, Furnaces, Nazgul, Archers, Fire, Banner
PP: Eye of Sauron, Tortured Land, Industry, Darkness, Devestation, Balrog

Extra mill workers.
Good mill harassment with Gollum.
Good use of Nazgul screech.

Slow to build extra pits.
Slow to attack citadel with Nazgul.
Didn't keep the enemy citadel down enough with Nazgul.

Comments: A good agressive start. You must recognise the vulnerability of a 2 pit plus Gollum start on a map like Rohan where the distance between camps is so small. A focussed early assault on your citadel might have completely crippled you and effectively ended the game right at the start. You were lucky that your opponent didn't rush you.

After your initial vulnerability your gamble paid off and you gained a lot of momentum. You went for Nazgul at the right time. What you should have done at that point was taken the citadel down straight away and taken a few towers down and then retreated to heal properly. Then you go back and keep the citadel down and take out a few more towers. Eventually you have your 2 Nazgul and a camp with no towers and the game ends quite quickly. You didn;t focus your Nazgul attacks enough and tended to harass orcs. Eventually this led to a win but by killing so many enemy orcs you give away lots of PP's and if your opponent had made more direct PP choices then you would have been far behind in getting the Balrog and this would have lost you map control as your camp was decimated and the orc spam dries up.

When you have the advantage that you had in the early unopposed Nazgul you must go for the jugular straight away.

one pit start isnt good...in ESL Mordor-Mirror-Cup also 2 pit start won the games...imo 2 pit start + tower + fast creeping of the orc lair is the best start...i havent watch the rep, so i dont exactly know what u have done, but 1 pit start id defenitely not the best way...i think i will watch this game the next days...
