It's because the right side's mill is closer so it's easier to defend. Also the right side gets to the enemy mills quicker.
Because on left side you have to grab both mills with uruks, on right side you only grab one. The reason for this is, the first mill took you so long to grab you might as well just walk and get your 2nd one.
However on teh right side no need for that, the laborer can grab the 2nd one.

ahh thanks for the explanation ball, i was wondering that myself. Excuse the nub question (i have never played an isen mirror in my life), but what was the twist that ball did which turned the game? Obviously the zerker attack was impressive, but is that a new strat?

the twist that instead of going for fast upgrades, which is the normal thing to do, ball did an un-upgraded attack on my base which completely caught me off guard.
