Battle for Middle Earth

This was truly an amazing game. Victoire is one of the best rohan players I have seen. This game was loaded with action, and is a very good watch for both factions.

It's definatley good, I watched it. Minor adjustments to the Rohan strat and it might be a key strategy do have at hand vs isengard.

Both players played great. I was a good game and worth the watch.

I didn't really see any new key strategy in this game. What I did see was ents and they didn't work as you can tell from the game. The big problem with ents is that isen gets so many points for killing them that he had rain so fast.

I mean, after the second ents failed that was my clue that isn't wasn't going to work and saving for ents all game wasn't going to work. I thought the first ents got him okay and maybe an army after that would have worked. When the summoned ents were used 1 ent was dead before he could even finish yelling.



I just thought the ents delayed the game, but rohan really didn't have any chance to win imo. I am not even sure the first ents did 5k worth of damage and if they did Isen had the whole map so he could just rebuild his base.


I don't think there was anything Rohan could have done. Typical pikes owning everything. Also the "temporary" warchant happened to be there when needed. I also liked how it takes 8 tower arrows to kill 1 pikeman in the pike hord. That is a lot of arrows to kill a pike horde. Without leadership rohans units couldn't do anything. Even with leadership uruks/pikes take no arrow damage.


Anyways gg guys. I know some think Isen/Rohan is balanced (don't want to start an arguement) but this is just another game that shows Rohan has no chance.

i watched it, i personaly think rohan vs isen is balanced...

What a pain to watch the replay again I only see my mistakes (which happend everytime i watch my replays )

Well, without several mistakes, i really think i could have won it. To name the baddest :

- not activating the draft of my second peasant wave

- not building another tree from my 1st moot and/or not destroying it

- Missed a heal on aragorn after a fight with lurtz. 1 second later.

Those 3 mistakes were huge in consequences.

To sum it all, i got beaten by a better player.

Anyway, I m looking forward our next game truth and i beleive it gonna be toughter for you next time

I had not be beaten by an isengard for more than a month before Truth. I dont have (yet ) his level. I just hope i will reach it soon.

PS : If a fix is needed, it is the rain cancelling GC and blademaster. I see no reason for this and it is a pain, i admit. Otherwise, i think this matchup, rohan//isengard, is pretty much balanced. Maybe lower a very bit pikemen armor too.

An overall good game, showing the strength of rohan in early game, even though the peasant rush failed.
Rohan didn't support it's ent allies and therefore not manging to destroy isen's base, 2 ent attacks which could've yield a victory were foiled, isengard had rain(aragorn=good pp) and luck for a 3rd ent attack was postponed in exchange for a brief aragorn, therefore could rebuild base and turn the tide, long siege on rohan , needed several attempts, since concentrated too much on aragorn, heroic defense by rohan, crashed by the appearance of the dreaded balrog.

]EC[TruTh:
start: 2 furnaces.
strat: xbows->pikes.

-sending new workers to die to wargs, bad waypoint, several died.
-losing lurtz to an ent in 3rd ent attack, no need for it to happen.
-endgame needs improvement, could've beaten him twice, but decided to fiddle with aragorn, prolonging the match and allowing some heroic defense by truth.

+building pit close to nearest mill, so towers defend both
+had balrog a couple of minutes after truth summoned ents, good hero killing...

[aFr]Victoire:
start: 2 farms + Merry.
strat: cav+king->ents.

+spread our in 3 directions, allowing you to postpone uruk attack, btew nice job of luring them to wargs.
+overall good work vs. lurtz, for a very long time theoden survived without being pinned.
-/+decent micro of cav.

-not using draft on 3-4 peasants, therefore losing them easily to xbows.
-went for mill first, instead of workers, should've tried to take pit,since no opposition was offered...
-losing cav to xbows early game, very bad, since you made no well.
-lost HA to xbows.
-not building permanent ents.
-not supporting ents with cav vs. xbows(KEY).
-during 2nd attack you chose to creep, instead of finishing his base with cav.
-lol(sorry), you let 1 worker chop down half an ent!!!
-you should've made 3rd moot instead of aragorn, he was still building base and had no xbows(KEY).
-last ent march- you tried to kill lurtz with cav, instead of taking out nearby FA.
-you sent aragorn to the wall, knew he was going to be pinned no matter what, reachedm ladder and moved back, next time take ladder...
-had several chances to use the elendil shout and therefore to scare lvl1 uruks, but did not.
