Well said peter. I agree with what you said about that match up.

I don't agree with the RR'ing staff here.

I have watched this match and neither opponent deserves more in a rating than the other but if anyone was better then I would say that the Mordor player was better here in the late game and the Rohan player in the early game. Both players should receive a 5 at least. In much the same way as Gondor found a 1.02 way to lame inside their walls Mordor here has found a way to defend the camp against just about any type of attack from Rohan. This is effectively a new strat on show here people. Can't anyone else see that?

Rohan's early game was better than Mordor's but the reason that Rohan gave up was because he was never going to get through the defence that he let Mordor build up in his camp. When he bounced off the defence for the third time in utter humiliating defeat Rohan gave up and relied upon everyone's gullibility to award him the win by virtue of his better early game. Mordor would have won this game eventually IMO because of the accumulation of PP's as Rohan let heroes and ents get killed again and again. And that was BEFORE the Nazgul came out.

Mordor's problem was a passive start with no orcs or any troops whatsoever getting onto the Rohan side of the map. This is not the best way to start this match. You need to force Rohan into defending their farms because then their economy would be crippled of they don't. By forcing Rohan into farm defence you are actually reducing the pressure on your own mills and making them easier to defend. The Mordor rating would be much higher and the win much faster if this harassment had been achieved.

Rohan's early pressure was good but he utterly failed to capitalise on it and let Mordor get going and then was completely humiliated when attacking the Mordor camp over and over again. For this failure alone I would rate the Rohan low. Don't let the fact that Rohan quit deceive you. They quit because they weren't playing well enough to finish Mordor off and they got pissed off with it. That is to Mordor's credit.

I have rated this match a 6 to bring the average rating for the match up to a 5 because that is where it should be.

Stonelord doesn't camp in hs base vs Rohan, if anything he probably has the map at times.
