Starting positions:
Arjen_Robben/SE|Skippy - East
BoW|Re4LG33/LiKeBbQSauCe` - West

Overview:

A relatively nice short game between Mordor/Rohan and Isengard/Rohan. Some very nice team work displayed by the Isengard/Rohan as an early rush cripples Mordor. The Mordor and Rohan try to get back into the game by massing trolls but it is too late by then when the heroes have popped out.

Arjen_Robben/SE|Skippy - Mordor/Rohan

The early game hit you guys kind of hard and you didn't really damage your opponent's FoD's economy. Some good communication here is necesary, specifically holding Mordor's early mills. By making un-necesary towers at the start, you were forced to skip your third mill and never really got on your feet as the blade rush slowed you down. More orcs should've been sent to Isengards mills but they were idle and doing nothing. Later in the game, instead of mass trolls, mixing in a balanced army would have helped. Try to have a better early game through communication next time.

How to Improve

  • Early game. More peasants would have helped Mordor's economy greatly and to do more damage on Isengard's mills.
  • Communication. The eye could have been used more often for Rohan's horses and as stated above, the early game.
  • Army strategy. Mass trolls are ok, but a balanced army will be much more effective. Versatility will allow you to handle any situation.
  • Mordor judgment. The desicion to go mass trolls was not a very good choice as there was an Isengard (rain > mass trolls). Also, your early game and baselayout was very vulnerable (placement of 2nd cage).

BoW|Re4LG33/LiKeBbQSauCe` - Isengard/Rohan

You two displayed some very nice teamwork throughout all stages of the game. The BO used by Isengard was a little risky as your economy could have been screwed if there was more harrasment on your mills. The armory can be built before a full base depending on your economy (maybe with 2 spots left), but never with 4 spots left. Your strategy was good, but just to consider an alternative, Rohan could go 3 rohirrim, Theoden, middle, Aragorn (or skip the middle and go Aragorn) while Isengard combo rushes instead of a second FU uruk rush. Again, very good team work such as the palantir and chanted rushes on Mordor base.

How to Improve

  • BO's. A very risky BO by Isengard as it tilted away from economy stability.
  • Creeping. Remember that you can creep a troll with 2 horses. Always creep every single one ASAP.
  • Alternative strategies. Rohan provides the LD while Isengard provides the army.
  • Pikes. ASAP pikes will be very helpful with defending mills. This will allow Rohan to be more aggressive and harras more rather than defending.

Overall Rating: 5
