So, I haven't played in about 2 weeks because of being away from home and being busy at work and today I have played about 4 matches. This was my last match of the day and guess who I bumped into on the QM ladder.
Mostly I think my early strategy was slow to get the pikes out against the Knights and this meant I was pouring resources into maintining map control instead of having already got it when the Knights came out. Wargs saved my ass though and I managed to siege early enough to stave off the impending attack on my camp.
I'm still not exactly sure how it would have ended but I assume that I would have rearmed faster after the toe-to-toe battle to a standstill siege. But RamRaider disappeared during the post-siege recovery.
Review please, it felt exciting with a lot of no-stop harassment by both of us. This one was an RSI-fest.

I hope I will be the one who do this. Daem you know Iam gonna watch it over and over again, until i have found enough stuff to pick on. And if I dont, i will make some stuff up I can always just blame it on being tired or that I made an honest misstake
Just kidding of course, for those who may not see the irony
It shouldn't be difficult to find stuff wrong with this replay. My micro was terrible but I was more concerned with macro most of the time - when to get extra camp, when to switch production to different units, when to get Lurtz. A lot of the time the unit micro just slipped past me which is why I lost so many units during the main siege and had to re-arm.
I was very relieved to kill Gandalf in the castle. For a minute I thought I might not get him and I would have been very exposed right after that.
I can't believe you posted this, lol. I apologise for seeming to DC; I got a message box saying my graphics display driver had stopped responding so I had to reboot
My micro, macro and whatever else was utterly appalling, Gandalf saved my ass otherwise this was total ownage. Your best moment was definately killing Gandalf, mine was just getting Gandalf
I tried to use archers and soliders seperately - bad mistake. I've changed my mind completely about these combos v Isen now. I think I could've won though, I was about 8PP away from AOTD and with Gandy almost back I would've had a fighting chance. Probably would have taken me hours though :\
+ extra labourers + creeping + combined army + formations almost correctly + harassment + pinned gandalf twice and then killed it with a balista
Cons
- WC canceled by EW twice (2nd time walked into it) - bad industry first time (only 2 furnaces under influence) - due to combos you harassed slow early game (with bows it took really long) - forgot sometimes to use formations (uruks) - casted carnage too early (could finish his gandy much earlier) - a few suicide actions (in the end at left lower OP) - some friendly balista fire
Player summary
It was a slow start by you. You lost 2 WCs unnecessary and it was hard for you to get a good eco. Your first bow was out after his first knight . After you ahd some pikes you could harass, but because of combos it took some time to get his farms destroyed and this costed you time too. So the early game was pretty bad, but after that you took MC and made a nice army. The wargs were a very good choice, you could counter his soldiers and bows. You won a battle and you took almost whole MC. You made a nice army defended your farms and attacked his wall. But you also lost some forces at the lower left OP, but it could also meant for distraction, because you coudl fight his walls. When you brtoke into his castle and just had his gandy out. He was really a pain in the ass for you, but you could luckily kill him with a last cripple from lurtz just before he died. Also you ahd luck your balista wasn;t destoyed by his horses. He won the battle and had still almost all his forces. After that you ahd a new army very fast, because of good eco (due to fuel the fires too) Not a bad game for you, but if you had a better early game you could win (easily). Now there was no winner, so it could take another 70 k.
+ creeping + canceled his first WC + really good rush on his base (destroyed uruk pit) + combined army + lvl 10 horses
Cons
- sometimes didn't use/switch your forms - poor EW (could use it much more and second EW wasn't really good) - useless first elven summon - poor harassment (early game was good, but after that not really good + slow harassment) - suicide actions (once on his base when you just gave your bows upgrades) - lost gandy and faramir - walked in his pikes with your horses a few times
Player summary
Your start was really good. You harassed him really good and had 3-1 in farms at the start. But why not go for a HS rush? If you have the upperhand at start you can easily do a HS rush; he had his first bow out when you got your first horse. But you did a good rush on his base a little later and could destroy his uruk pit. Your harassment was poor after that, because he protected his mills really good. Your army wasn't that bad but because you didn;t have a good eco a took too long. If you have a better army you can get gandy out really sooner. Your horse micro was not that bad. Your summon of horses was useless, because you walked straight into his pikes and could save a balista. But you normal horses were very good (both lvl 10 ) Next time give much more pressure on his mills with archers. Also you knew he built a warg pit when you destroyed his uruk pit, but you let your units walk alone sometimes, so they were an easy target for his wargs. Have some guards with them or a few horses.
