I'm very sorry I didn't get around to reviewing this game today but my game was acting gay all day so I uninstalled and I'm gonna get a new cd so I'll see if I can still get this game for ya within tomorrow or Wednesday .
Starting positions: orcofbarradur - North RACIEL -South
Overview:
Mordor vs Isengard on Dunharrow that predictably came down to late game. Isengard was extremely passive, had idle units about, and literally 0 harassment of Mordor's mills while Mordor was more aggressive at the start. Mordor went for mass combos after trolls to catas and Wk, and Isengard went for Lurtz with FU uruks and xbows. Game was pretty entertaining for the most part, the execution of the strats and micro of the players could have been better. Falls a little under rotw contender imo, more action would have changed my mind
orcofbarradur
You played a good game, however you did some uneeded things. One of them was a tower so early into the match. Many Isen's do base rush Mordor, however this Isengard didn't even step on your side of the map in early game, so the tower was uneeded in this game. Also work on your cash floating a bit. One last thing I would do as the top spot with Mordor is to make a Sh at the far right settlement because the wargs are pretty close and 95% of the time, they attack the mill and it becomes a waste of early game money in reality. You should also take a little better care of your Wk, try your hardest not to lose him in any matchup, not just Mordor vs Isengard.
Points for Improvement:
Friendly fire with catapults. You did this ALOT and you probably killed more of your army then he did at some times .
Don't use Darkness when he has rain. Darkness does not cancel rain.
Don't give Drummers attack orders in a fight. When a Drummer is attacking, your army gets no ld so try not to do this.
RACIEL
You played way too defensive at the start of the game. You had idle units all over the place, when you could have been harassing Mordor's mills. You got Lurtz out early, but you eventually got him to level 5 so that was good on your part. Your and unit use in this game was pretty bad though, I suggest you work on that because vs a very good Mordor, you would have ran into MANY problems early game fighting orcs without block. I also think you should have gotten Saruman instead of spamming units from outposts when you lost your castle.
Cash floating was really really bad, work on building your units and buildings when you have the money.
Bad formation use most of the time ( fighting mass orcs with regular formation)
Idle units in early game. Harass as much as possible
Don't use TL unless he does, he covered urs whenever you used it
