REVIEWED BY KILTEC

For maximum entertainment I absolutely recommend NOT to read this review before you've seen the replay!
I promise, you won't regret it! (and it only takes 34 minutes)
It should be much more surprising and fun, to watch it before reading this!

teamHQ|Shai (Mordor) vs [aFr]Victoire (Rohan)

Name of game : Victoire vs TeamHQ|Shai friendly
BFME version : 1.02
Players : teamHQ|Shai (#CW 132) vs [aFr]Victoire (#CW 8)
Game played on : 2005-06-15
Duration: 00:34:24
Map : Fords of Isen

Match description:
Everything in the beginning of this match indicates that it will become a typical Mordor-Rohan. Fast rohirrm+Theo, couple of trolls to counter the rohirrim. Rohan saving for his main hero. But then Rohan gets a not-so-typical Aragorn and once he steps out of the door, everthing changes...

teamHQ|Shai (Mordor)

sent 1 of your initial orcs to his lower settlement spot, that was good but you were slightly too slow to prevent him from getting the farm, you could have been there faster, imho.
fast creeping to get tainted land and additional mill
nice MC
troll micro. didn't noticed when one of his rohirrim, that you chased with your trolls, split off and thus was able to take down a mill. Probably hard to see so no real con
(KEY) when his Aragorn was in your base, you didn't send your trolls to him. You might not have been able to kill him but you would have won time. But definetely don't let them die trying to destroy a tower at his base!
getting OP with 2x mumakil pen. Correct answer to heros.
not sending your first mumakils straight to your base. It's easy to say afterwards, you had to get quickly to his base bc of fire, I know. But you had nothing else to stop Aragorn.

Player summary:
What can I say, you got beaten by a very uncommon and new (to me) strat. You totally underestimated Aragorn by not attacking him with your trolls. Until then you played out of the book but then he rewrote this book... Well, I don't think you will let that happen again...

[aFr]Victoire (Rohan)
very good use of peasants in the beginning (harassing creeping)
you stole him two settlements which he had crept free
left gate open
excellent horse micro and harassment. Eg when you split off one unit of rohirrim.
getting Aragorn as first hero and sending him straight to his base
killed with him first the troll cage, then cita and then started to work through his base.
Eomer to buff cavalry
took map control while Mordor had to fight Aragorn
2 stable to spam horse-archers!
could've stood in his base to prevent him from rebuilding it. I'm confident that you would'Ve outmicroed the mumakils
you won!

Player summary:
This was awesome. When I saw you bought Aragorn as 1st main hero, I thought, you were foredoomed.
But you weren't. Not at all, I might add. Nearly always excellent unit- and hero-micro. Very nice strat!
Very, very, very good job!

Overall summary:
This replay is a must-watch! Two opponents playing on top-level with a very surprising and imho new strategy by Rohan. Very good control of units throughout hte match. Constant action and lots of stuff to see!

I agree with that. I clicked on his citadel to see if he was spawning legolas to combat the trolls nailing his base down! Even a nazgul to deal with aragorn no? Too many heros? Surely with all the mumakil he popped out, he could have made a nazgul to compliment the mumakil !

Great replay, I will be using variations of this in my 2v2 against mordor!
