This is my Mordor vs Hero´s Gondor (one of the best there is)

so here we have a massive Battle going on! non-stop!
and if i say non stop i mean it!
Hero is so damn good in defending its crazy!
I never saw anyone but laakuma having such a micro...

i stressed my ass off so dont blame me for doing some things uneffective or forgetting stuff
I had to be everywhere at the same time, and after this one i was completely done......

Entertainment Factor is very high and it shows real good play

Review please!

And dont say "pfff fangorn" Xkal vs Laakuma was 0-3 on this map!!
(right before Xkal quitted playing laugh.gif )
and i saw Attilla loose vs pepelapu on this map (observed)

This was one buggy game. Notice the 2nd time I built stables; the stables built instantly. And the last showdown between balrog + Gandalf. I must of clicked Gandalf like 8 MILLION times to run away and he was locked in LS animation. That sucked. GG prepare, very nicely played ^^

So you want to complain your stable built instant? biggrin.gif

No Bugs on my side btw and i analyzed the last showdown:
early retreat wouldn´t have saved the day (too many Hitpoints left to stop him from doing his performance),
and it´s cooler this way

Reason why Xkal lost vs Sagat, and why Attilla lost v Pepe on Fangorn is because they didn't go mass pit --> fast Balrog.

Fast Balrog owns on Fangorn.

And yes I want to complain about Stable bug!!!!!!! Any bug is still a bug!

This is an awesome replay!

I really enjoyed watching it, constant action during the entire match!!

I especially liked that Gondor got Faramir and Boromir since both are rarely seen. And they even were useful, imo! wink.gif (Faramir more than Boromir maybe)
Myself being neither Gondor nor Mordor I didn't know how much damage the wounding arrow deals to a nazgul. Not enough to kill him but this should be more important post-patch when istari won't be an instant-kill anymore.

When I saw how many orcs were sent to death by prepare, I thought, uh oh, he's giving him free powerpoints to AotD. But then I got aware that you gained PPs faster than Hero. What finally won you the match.

I guess Hero might have wanted to try how well both Faramir and Boromir would do vs. Mordor because there was no attempt to rush mordor's base with kinghts /w shields. Well, I'm not sure whether that would have been possible since the knights were needed to defend his own castle...

This replay really shows an epic (haha, rolleyes.gif wink.gif ) battle, to me it felt a little bit like Minas Tirith in the movies - Gondor fighting desperately to survive, while Mordors forces surge against Gondor's base.

Great game! thumb.gif

I'd like to now comment from my Strategy perspective:

Mordor's objective is simple: Send countless amount of orcs to their deaths while holding constant siege. This way, prepare was able to gather power points at a MUCH (I mean MUCH) more accerlerated rate than Gondor. THIS is what wins Mordor games on Fangorn Forrest. The entire map is under your control and you have more money than Donald Trump; so constant sieging from 5+ siege works is no problem. As you can see from the replay, prepare managed to get the Balrog TWICE that match. The first time right after I used Eagles. That's really.. well.. fast.

The reason why some Mordor players, even top players lose on Fangorn is because they choose Mumakil or maybe Catapults + Troll gaurd. This loses in the long run. Why? The answer is simple. Sending Mumakil to Numenor Tower + walls = Giving me a million Power Points. THUS, giving me a HUGE advantage as I'm able to rack up Eagles, AotD much more quickly than your Balrog. Now, the Catapults + Troll route.. this is very good on maps like Fords of Isen, simply because it sustains constant, protective siege on a much smaller, balanced map. When I mean balanced, I strickly mean economy wise. This, however, is not the case on Fangorn Forrest. Mordor has the entire map on Fangorn and he has a bazillion dollars: Massive pitting leading to faster Balrog is MUCH more effective because you're not bound by money. As you can see, by the sheer number of Orcs + Siege + Mass Nazgul in such a short period of time, Mordor is still able to hold ample siege, but is also able accelerate his Power Point collection. This is only possible with loads of money.

Gondor's objective in this particular match up: Stay alive the best you can. That is all. Against this particular "Balrog siege," the only thing I could do is stay alive. My brothers fought side by side like Maddogs and that's what made me happy :>. They even fell together.. brings a tear to my eye.

For Gondor,

Kiltec: Hero didnt test the brothers, he needed them to survive and he knew it. Very cool usage of those two! Faramir kept the nazgul at a distance and boromir stunned the orcs when they were about to get dangerous! thum.gif

Hero: cmon you know Mordor needs ALOT more econ to be able to win so same econ both = mordors death....
And you know NO mordor player looses ever vs your Gondor on Fords...
And its also a fact that if the game lasts 10 min longer i would have lost

but anyway it has become a very cool replay!

Ok, one last reply before I go to class ^^

Count how many settlements + expansions there is on Fangorn and then compare it to Fords. That's what I mean by economic value: Largely supporting Evil's economic factor.

You mean Wins =o
